I think that Elenin is(C/2010 X1 (Elenin). I could be wrong, I think (2005 YU55) is just another object that is getting real close on Nov 8-9.

The Astronomy News article says that 2005 YU55 , an asteroid, will approach to within eight tenths of the Earth-Moon distance on November 8, 2011 and it's 1300 feet across

You are right. And here is a link to Asteriod 2005 YU55 www.abovetopsecret.com...

Near-Earth asteroid 2005 YU55 was "imaged" by the Arecibo Radar Telescope in Puerto Rico on April 19. Data collected during Arecibo's observation of 2005 YU55 allowed the Near-Earth Object Program Office at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to refine the space rock's orbit, allowing scientists to rule out any possibility of an Earth impact for the next 100 years.

The space rock was about 2.3 million kilometers (1.5 million miles) from Earth at the time this image of the radar echo was generated. The ghostly image has a resolution of 7.5 meters (25 feet) per pixel. It reveals 2005 YU55 as a spherical object about 400 meters (1,300 feet) in size.

Thats not elenin,thats 2005 YU55,elenin is C/2010 X1.
There is one coming VERY close on March 7,2011,and its 2007 EY11 And if you check out
the distance its gonna be skimmimg the atmosphere.
It's estimated to 5meters to 15 meters in size.

That's the thing... There is NO evidence that was given about the comet, except for the announcement of it's discovery in December 2010. Since then it seems to have disappeared because no astrologers, or anyone with a decent telescope that should be able to see the object, can actually find it in space. However there seem to be many, many(possibly hundreds by now???) pictures/videos/testimonies of from the people that went looking for the asteroid saying they have however spotted what appears to be a 'Brown Dwarf'. I can't attest to this myself, I'm just saying what is being said...

IF the comet is really something else, or even if it is just a comet, that is going to make what looks like is going to be a rather 'too-close-for-comfort' pass by Earth, then I would also imagine that NASA, and whoever else knows this for certain lied about the dates. Its probably going to reach Earth(much) sooner when the public won't suspect, or even notice the 'elite' quietly tip toeing into their bunkers...

edit:I did some more research to make sure they are the same and they are not sorry. Since the OP posted up an orbit for YU55 I thought it was it's other name.

According to the diagram, 2005 YU55 will pass at it's closest at 0.0022au - about 320000km, give or take a few thousand. Give I hope :s
Seems very close...
