Lucus' presentation is definitely convincing ... but ..I'm finding it difficult to believe any history book or movie or television program or photo or conspiracy or preacher can be trusted...

Truly perplexed.. all I really know is... the squeeze is definitely being put on the masses. Power/money grab is in full force... and most of the USA is still apathetic.

I'm going to go ahead and rely on this for now:

John 16
1 “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. 3 They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4 I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you, 5 but now I am going to him who sent me.

and

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Peace to all.

Does it not stand to reason that if such an object was anywhere near our solar system, thousands of amateur astronomers would have spotted it? Case closed surly.

only the goods can see it, I am seeing it right now

if u are good u will be able to see it

no, there is no scientific instrument to detect it, its just heart

I'm pretty sure March 4th is the date Will Elenin was supposed to break the elliptical plane. I don't watch any videos that make extraordinary claims anymore; it's just to easy nowadays to manipulate media, so forget the sun videos. Nibiru...I'm not convinced either way.

I do however have one question...
This comet was supposedly discovered by an amateur astronomers using an 18" scope. It was reported the he filmed this comet for four minutes. Now, an 18" scope is expensive, but not out of reach, I imagine there are many other amateurs using them. This comet is near earth object, both rare and exciting by anyone's standards...right?

So my question is, where are all the pictures of this comet? As far as I can tell there is just one picture available of this historical astronomical occurrence. I find that very, very odd.

I hate to do this, but I'm quoting my own text above...PS...I typed that on my phone very late last night and it has it's own marvelous editing feature which truly sucks, but you should get the idea...

I have asked a question here, and was wondering if anyone has anything to offer in the way of an answer...or speculation????

The coordinates given by the OP didnt work, it just said no results found when i plugged them in.

But i found something strange in the Virgo constellation when i was just poking around.

14h 15m 39.0s 19 deg. 8' 42.6"

Anyone that has an answer let me know.

If somebody was to tell me 2012 will bring the event of all the planets from jupiter to earth are aligned so perfect that one of the outer planets get nudged out of its normal orbit by orbital resonance then I might buy it. But a planet that appear out of thin air? Not so much

2012 is the return of the Annunaki but their planet will arrive first and it seems to be this year.

Just thought that I would throw in my thoughts. Over the many years on this planet I have seen many sun dogs while sitting in the ocean waiting for a good wave to ride! this would mean that the so called mystery planet has been here for four decades on my calender. It probably has been there long before my time also! This planet will endure anything the cosmos can throw at it anyway, but that dose not mean we will be here forever either.

How could the Annunaki survive on a rouge planet that goes so far away from the sun?

Except, it is completely impossible for such a gigantic object to be close to our solar system (never mind, being IN our solar system) without affecting any of the planets. And when I say "gigantic object" I mean relatively. Sure brown dwarfs are less dense than the sun and don't exactly have gigantic masses, but it's a big enough object that we'd be aware of it's presence.

Even if google is blocking a section of the sky in their photos... it wouldn't be hiding ANYTHING if a brown dwarf was actually that close to earth. We'd be able to walk outside, look up at the sky, and see it (especially at night): panic would obviously ensue.

At least, that's from the knowledge that I've accumulated over the years of reading about cosmology. It might be possible that some kind of new type of planetary/stellar body is approaching earth and we don't know enough about it's composition or physics to understand what it's effects will be on earth. But it sure as hell ain't no brown dwarf!

Your comment makes the most sense to me right now. I have vacillated on this topic for a while now. I just can't wrap my mind around the notion of something big not happening soon. I'm so glad I have this website to help me come to some sound conclusions on this topic. Not to many people in my offline life want to discuss topics like this. They automatically write me off as crazy!

I don't believe you can Ignore the possibilities, unless you simply make that choice.

This is from JPL>

February 01, 2011

PASADENA, Calif. -- NASA's NEOWISE mission has completed its survey of small bodies, asteroids and comets, in our solar system. The mission's discoveries of previously unknown objects include 20 comets, more than 33,000 asteroids in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter, and 134 near-Earth objects (NEOs). The NEOs are asteroids and comets with orbits that come within 45 million kilometers (28 million miles) of Earth's path around the sun.

NEOWISE is an enhancement of the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or WISE, mission that launched in December 2009. WISE scanned the entire celestial sky in infrared light about 1.5 times. It captured more than 2.7 million images of objects in space, ranging from faraway galaxies to asteroids and comets close to Earth.

In early October 2010, after completing its prime science mission, the spacecraft ran out of the frozen coolant that keeps its instrumentation cold. However, two of its four infrared cameras remained operational. These two channels were still useful for asteroid hunting, so NASA extended the NEOWISE portion of the WISE mission by four months, with the primary purpose of hunting for more asteroids and comets, and to finish one complete scan of the main asteroid belt.

"Even just one year of observations from the NEOWISE project has significantly increased our catalog of data on NEOs and the other small bodies of the solar systems," said Lindley Johnson, NASA's program executive for the NEO Observation Program.

Now that NEOWISE has successfully completed a full sweep of the main asteroid belt, the WISE spacecraft will go into hibernation mode and remain in polar orbit around Earth, where it could be called back into service in the future.

In addition to discovering new asteroids and comets, NEOWISE also confirmed the presence of objects in the main belt that had already been detected. In just one year, it observed about 153,000 rocky bodies out of approximately 500,000 known objects. Those include the 33,000 that NEOWISE discovered.

NEOWISE also observed known objects closer and farther to us than the main belt, including roughly 2,000 asteroids that orbit along with Jupiter, hundreds of NEOs and more than 100 comets.

These observations will be key to determining the objects' sizes and compositions. Visible-light data alone reveal how much sunlight reflects off an asteroid, whereas infrared data is much more directly related to the object's size. By combining visible and infrared measurements, astronomers also can learn about the compositions of the rocky bodies -- for example, whether they are solid or crumbly. The findings will lead to a much-improved picture of the various asteroid populations.

NEOWISE took longer to survey the whole asteroid belt than WISE took to scan the entire sky because most of the asteroids are moving in the same direction around the sun as the spacecraft moves while it orbits Earth. The spacecraft field of view had to catch up to, and lap, the movement of the asteroids in order to see them all.

"You can think of Earth and the asteroids as racehorses moving along in a track," said Amy Mainzer, the principal investigator of NEOWISE at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. "We're moving along together around the sun, but the main belt asteroids are like horses on the outer part of the track. They take longer to orbit than us, so we eventually lap them."

NEOWISE data on the asteroid and comet orbits are catalogued at the NASA-funded International Astronomical Union's Minor Planet Center, a clearinghouse for information about all solar system bodies at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory in Cambridge, Mass. The science team is analyzing the infrared observations now and will publish new findings in the coming months.

When combined with WISE observations, NEOWISE data will aid in the discovery of the closest dim stars, called brown dwarfs. These observations have the potential to reveal a brown dwarf even closer to us than our closest known star, Proxima Centauri, if such an object does exist. Likewise, if there is a hidden gas-giant planet in the outer reaches of our solar system, data from WISE and NEOWISE could detect it.

The first batch of observations from the WISE mission will be available to the public and astronomical community in April.

"WISE has unearthed a mother lode of amazing sources, and we're having a great time figuring out their nature," said Edward

Cluckerspud, you sure have spent a lot time on the ridiculous thread...

I asked the question, WHERE ARE ALL THE PICTURES OF COMET ELENIN...

Maybe you can answer...please, I'd like to heard the opinion of a skeptic in regards to the nearest earth object in recent history and WHY there is only ONE PICTURE taken from an amateur's 18" scope?????

I don't know if Nibiru is coming, or the second coming of Christ, or aliens with a nasty/nice agenda. I don't know if our leaders are Reptilian shapeshifter's with grays doing their bidding. I cannot offer you concrete evidence as to the existance of god or the devil, or bigfoot, the chupacabra, or the mothman. I'm not even sure if this version of reality is a digital construct we are all caught up in, or not. I do know the following: there is a major conspiracy involving the finnancial districts of the world to the detriment of us all. I watch unmarked planes spray filth on us everyday, i see that major corporations with no regard for mankind have destroyed the small business man and created a monopoly with profit as the ulitmate goal. I have used a welders mask and do see something next to the sun( I do not claim to know what it is...it is just there), the global warming lies, the power broking, and the world inexorably moving at break neck speed towards globalization; are all things I see and know are happening. I also have not seen the moon in over a week now despite the fact that there have been clear nights. I have observed this a few times already( where does it go?) I have been on ats for many years now(lurking)and have read great examples of logic and cogent thinking, as well as the ignorant who insult and deny yet offer no proof. Just like the government does, by the way. It is an effective tool of propaganda to dismiss one as " crazy ". Would the elite of the world pull back into their DUMB"s and let the rest of us fend for ourselves in the aftermath of an ELE? You bet they would.

How many pics do you need?
There are only a few professional standard pics around that you probably have already seen and they are not all that impressive to look at even though they were taken at serious observatory's that are well beyond the reach of your average back yarder. Not an amatures scope at all, an amature using pro equipment.
The reason there are no pics around is because those who do take them at this stage cannot see the comet.
Until it starts heating up as it gets closer to the sun there will not be a tail or anything visible as of now it's just a lump of rock/ice or whatever it happens to be made of, the day it starts to show anything there will be hundreds of backyard astronomers myself included lining up to try and snap some shots.

And where are you even getting your info, in no way will this be the closest approach in recent history.

But for now you just have to wait.

nearest earth object in recent history??? wow thats completley false, we have had several object pass much closer very recentley, elenin is not considered a close object and there was some video of it not too long ago if i remember right.

i don't think one person mentioned the way Nibiru's orbit comes into our solar system when it does every 3600 years. what's so hard to figure out that a planet has a 3600 year orbit that happens to enter into our asteroid belt between Mars & Jupiter? not everything from our galaxy revolves around OUR sun.
