Unless you live under a rock, you probably know what's going on overseas right now, but how many people really understand whats happening, and the possible consequences?

First you have to understand that [unfortunately] oil really does make the world go round. As much as you or I may not like that its the fact, and no developed nations economy can survive without access to oil. For a long time America has been kept stable due only to its access to cheap oil. For a while the US was able to use this to give them the title of holding the reserve currency, the Dollar. That sounds dandy and all until you consider that the $ is backed up only on the good faith of the United States government. Uh the same government who has more than doubled our national debt in only one decade? The same government who sold OUR jobs, and OUR industries to China? It's amazing that the average American doesn't trust any other average American but those same average Americans all trust their government completely... And why? "Because the big black magic color box that I spend a 1/4 of my life rotting in front of never lies!" That's right, most people watch 6 hours of tv every day. Most people also spend 16 hours a day working and sleeping. That leaves only 2 hours for whatever else.

I thought life was about living?

It's funny cause with as much time as people spend in front of a screen you'd think they'd notice that almost all of our media pokes fun at us, Americans. This can be seen all over, some examples are The Simpsons, Family Guy, The Middle, Desperate Housewives, Modern Family, ect. To you its funny, to the PTB its funnier because they're not laughing with you, they're laughing at you. Once you start looking for it you'll see it everywhere, because everywhere in our media the middle class American is being made to look unintelligent, selfish, lazy, and apathetic. The real tragedy is that its true. For the most part. Can't you see it?

Anyways on to the point of the thread. Over the past 3 years I've paid very close attention to the media, and the hidden messages they seem to love to throw around. Such as the famous Simpsons 9/11 prediction. What a lot of people don't realize is that was one of first if not the very first number ever used in a Simpsons episode, because cartoons in general back then didn't use a lot of detail such as numbers. Again back to the point, in all of this time I've spent carefully watching I've never seen more signs then I have since the beginning of this year, and the end of the last.

Since this is just my intro thread and I'm using a phone to type this, I'm not going to get into a whole lot of detail so I can put everything up in a nonintro thread that people might actually read, but I will show you a few. It all started with Chevy and Hyundai and their "Revolution" campaign that began toward the end of last year. Then you probably remember Hyundais "Snap Out of It" ad campaign. Did anyone notice the new Simpsons episode from a few weeks ago. As everyone knows the show begins with the family coming home from school and work and they all, some how or another get to the couch to watch tv. You notice that no matter what they always make it to the couch right? in the episode I'm speaking of here, the beginning displayed the family first being shrunk and then being chased into a mice hole where they sat on a piece of cheese which turned out to be a mice trap and all of their necks where snapped. This is very very powerful. The Simpsons where designed to be representation of the average middle class person. So what can this mean? Also, during the show at one point the numbers "325". Could that mean 3/25/2011? I don't know, but oddly enough there's a movie coming out 3/25 called Sucker Punch. Weird right? Is it weird that the movies slogan is "You won't be prepared" There's so many more its hard for to even keep track at this point.

There is one though that I know Ill never forget, and is the whole purpose of this thread, as I can't just not tell people until I get 20 posts. This last Sunday, on a small network that might be exclusive to Denver, CO called ion television I was watching the Whole Nine Yards, during one of the commercial breaks in between 2 ads of no relevance, the screen was just plain white, and in really big black letters read:

CHAOS
APRIL 1ST

And for only about 5 seconds!

It's important to mention that this is a network watched by 90% elderly so if any of them saw this and were to tell a friend or a family member they'd just be considered to be delusional. Not knowing what to do I called the Glenn Beck show and when I told one of the guys who answers the phones the story he told me there was a new show called Chaos airing April 1st. Me not being retarded looked it up to verify his words and sure enough no show.

When I'm able to make threads, I'll really explain how this all fits in with the Middle East, and everything. This is it guys. The major super powers of the world(China, Russia, the GCC, Japan, ect) are cashing out. America is to much of a liability and we're just dragging everyone down with us. That is unless they fixed it by say, I don't, disrupting oil prices by staging revolutions in the middle east? Look up what happened to the Great Britains when the pound was the reserve currency of the world, and find out why its not anymore. Why don't you think something similar can happen here?

I don't think it's about who HAS the oil, I think it's about who HASN'T got it.

Those without are dependant and those who have more than they need are the providers.

Even a country that has enough of the black stuff wants what others have so they then come knocking on their door.

Why do you think the USA has so many overseas outposts....footholds in oil producing countries?

I have always felt that introductions were for..... introductions.

I get the ion channel here in Northern California on comcast, wifey and I watch all the time ("Criminal Minds" is a great show) and have not seen any strange ads like that. I also did'nt find any reference to Chaos April 1, maybe Glenn Becks staffers were having fun with you? I dunno.....

I just googled Chaos April 1 and this new show is all over the place. However the shows existence does not take away from the panic that is being instilled in our more gullible friends.

Wierd, when I originally saw it, the first logical thing I figured to do was google it but when I did nothing came up no matter how I typed it with "chaos April 1st" being my first obvious try. I don't know, I can't imagine google results being different on a phone. I've since tried again and like you i see its flooded.

Does that change how odd of an ad campaign it is? 5 seconds of white background, and big black bold letters with the title of the show and the release date? On a small network that has nothing to do with cbs? Tell me have any of you heard of this "big" show?
