Yeah my friends, there's a reason we have the ancient saying "rest in peace", it exist because no matter how you lived your life, after you die, things will get strange and scary.

I BMT, a connoisseur of the paranormal, have found disturbing facts pertaining to the afterlife.

Many Spirits are not mentally acute enough to deal with the onslaught of "trolling" they will encounter, it will be like a never ending dream you cannot wake from. In "real" life you can awake from a bad dream, you can shut your door and not deal with the outside world, when you die your mind is open 24 hours and is very accessible.

Now , when you think about all the millions of negative Spirits that will have Carte blanche of your mind & soul, you just may not be able to rest RIP.

Many spirits haunt this pathetic Earthy plane because they feel safer in a familiar environment, many ask Paranormal Investigators for "help." Sad isn't it?

Lets briefly examine some of the so called "positives" on the other side...

Dead Relatives : Many didn't care about them when they were alive, do you think there will be a group hug in the afterlife
What about the mean uncle, will he greet me too???

Life flashes before you: Do you really want the whole afterlife populace to see what you did in college?

Become a Orb: Zipping around going through walls will get boring after awhile, birds spend most of there time on the ground and they can fly whenever they want.

Christ makes you Plow the Land : I read somewhere that when I die, Christ will give us "good people" a perfect world where we can plow the land and watch the sunset. This doesn't sound appetizing to me.

Live in Gods Mansion: How many rooms in this thing? There's a lot of dead people. Will it be like a frat house, folks knocking on your door asking you for stupid sh*%. I like to drink beer, can I do this under God's roof???

I Disagree, anger, hatred, and all the other crap, are earth based emotions. so if there is an afterlife, none of these things would mean squat.

Wow everyone can see your so angry at everything....and you have literately no clue what happens when we die. No use saying oh I heard this and that. I have heard hundreds of opinions on what happens afterlife, that's all they are.

There is an equal chance something terrible might happen or great when we die. You have the nerve to complain about seeing dead relatives and going to gods kingdom when this could well be a final test uv failed and are going to eternal pain....you will soon change your choon if so.

You believe all the stories you here so why not this ladies...

There are 2 things, at this moment, that I can say with absolute certainty.
#1 Your avatar is very distracting while trying to read.
#2 I will never be able to prove any of your OP wrong.

I've done alot of ghost hunting myself. Some of the spirits are in agony and pain, maybe they have unfinished business, I dont know. All I know is that its what you make of it. Its funny that they don't have a brain but they can still manage to present themselves as a human figure, they can hear and understand what your saying, talk and even answer you without having any physical attributes, they can pass through walls and yet are held up by floors and be seen with clothes. These people are afraid to accept what they are and still hold on to their human form. I can't imagine them being able to see the way we do, Hopefully, if I an accept my death, I will roam free with the earth and the universe. I know to some people it would be "boring" and torture but I think it would be a beautiful experience. That is true freedom..

My personal theory on ghosts is that they are people who didn't believe in the spirit world, so when they do finally die they may be confused as to whats happened and cling to the only life they believe to be real, aka an earth bound one, this is the only way I can imagine the afterlife being a bad one,

Being that I feel prepared on some level, I shall engage death with a sense of intrigue

I hate it when people post comments like this. What makes you think that anger, hatred and "all the other crap" are "Earth based emotions"? You say it as if you know for a fact, when in actuality, you have no idea what you're even talking about.

I believe most are reincarnated there has been some interesting story on this and i believe it too my core that if you dont make into heaven or ascend you are forced to return to earth to try again or if u were a really evil person u will be trapped on earth in between with no reincarnations or heaven.

Then why are their evps of spirits looking for a loved one, others you hear a cry of agony. I know its hard to imagine cause we havent been there yet but somehow the person they were in human form seems to imprint the spirit and thats who they remain. My grandfather died a few years back and he was obsessed with trains. 20 seconds before he passed away in his house, a train passed and blew its horn and he smiled. He had this antique train set by the fireplace and she says she always sees it knocked over. One time she was sleeping and she felt this weird sensation that woke her up and a soft voice that said hurry and when she opened her eyes she swears she saw him. She got up to get a coffee and saw a guy in there, he ended up running out and she called the police but later that night she found his hat he always wore on the floor by her bed. She still isnt sure what to think of it but its a crazy awesome story. If this really was him and he had no emotions why would he be watching over her and flipping over trains (his passion in human form) Its pretty naive to say emotions is only earth based when you haven't even died to experience it. It's like saying Judas Priest sucks but yet have never heard any of his songs.

I say it because thats all there is to go on, with any degree of certainty. We are alive now, we experience emotions now.

I imagine the standard afterlife for the "average Joe" as an in-between reincarnation state - similar to what the Wiccans call Summerland.
It is actually very similar to here, just we don't need food for the body, or other material conditions.
A naughty minority do go to a temporary hellish state, and some become stuck, or earthbound.

Our bodies there will indeed be thought-forms, in the sense that we are far more aware there of how consciousness constructs reality.
I don't mind everybody else seeing my thoughts.
It would make soul-sex so much more uncomplicated.
Everybody would immediately know what everybody likes, and nobody would be in the closet (so there's no hypocrisy).
Partners can merge freely without having to buy dinner, and everybody is always young and sexy.

Perhaps you've watch the skits of George Carlin too much?

On second thought, since he is gone from this coil, perhaps he has been coming back talking to you? Just in case, be sure and say your prayers, you just may need some help on the other side. (Praying to George would be alright in my estimation.)

I would read more NDE testimonies if I were you.

What happens after death cannot be actually proved, no matter how paranormal or spiritual one thinks he is, or how many holy books he brings into the equation . But there are people who got a glimpse at the after life, and there is a wealth of research in the NDE field worth reading. The fact is that regardless of people background or religion, the NDE's tend to be amazingly similar, so logically there must be some seed of truth in them.

Another interesting conclusion of NDE studies is that the after life experiences are mostly positive, and only rarely negative.

On the other side there is the universally accepted idea that everyone's experience of after life is decided by one's own actions. Then maybe I would watch my steps, just in case, so there would be nothing to fear after death.

Talking of stories one has heard, my atheist
son, who is a cardiac nurse, has spoken to many patients who have had near death experiences, and from what he told me, the most surprising thing is the fact that everyone was calm and peaceful!
No panic, no regret... The way he put it was "they don't care at all, not even about their families".
That doesn't say anything about what might come later, obviously, but it would seem that it's true - without the body, strong emotions don't exist..

Hey Vicky,

Yeah it is strange that your son is an atheist especially with the job he does and the experiences with patients he's had. I would have though nurses would mainly believe in god/afterlife. I love nde stories I have read thousands at www.nderf.org... and have only read about 2% hellish ones which I have noticed come about when they were injected with adrenalin or there was extreme fear to hold on and not die. It does seem in ways as if its the brain is either letting go and dying or fighting to stay alive.

Yes your sons accounts of patients sound similar to the many I have read. It happens mainly like this, the soul/you comes out of the body looks around for a short period sees family/random people trying to help the souls body but the soul doesn't have any attachment to it however at this stage many have still reported frustration and shouting to get noticed ect. Then the light comes, some see it as a small pin prick of light that gets bigger and others just turn around and it's their. At this point you either float into it like a mouth to a flame. Or a guide comes down most of the time you don't know who it is but immediately trust it. Then you go up the light sometimes seeing other recently departed spirits in the light also sometimes you just feel other people there. The one thing about the light is once your in it you are safe and know it, the higher you go it the light the greater love you feel and excitement to get to you unknown destination with great hast.

Then accounts vairy at this point some have just came out into a beautiful city as if nobody expected them others have came out into court room looking places. Others green beautiful meadows with people laughing. But for everyone whom gets far enough into there nde will be the life review mainly on a massive 3d tv funny it know. The life review you feel everyone's emotions you have hurt, made happy, loved. during this period you also get embarrassed ashamed and so on. Then they get told you have more work to do, you need to go back. This is where I believe the hellish ndes come into it, because some people may have a nde but not be willing to go back into there body's and that problem never happens when your in hell
.

I could write for hours on what I have read, stuff like a woman got hit by a car and appered in a different life, it was beautiful with the funniest nicest people around living there for years happily. Then she awoke 2 min into her nde on the floor bleeding with no memory or this life only the previous life. She says she is still said and wishes to die every day and had tried many times
. Other people got out of there body when into a different dimension and got threatened to get out by a bright light(he was a small boy). I have no idea why ndes are not more widely talked about, asides from people think your nuts when you talk about things like this...but this is all of our future what's crazy about that.

Yes, it's crazy about my son - he says he is an atheist, but I don't think he really is.. sometimes he says he believes in God, other times, absolutely not!
I am sure he's not really decided yet - he's still very young...
I had a lecturer years ago, who said she had had one when she was 5 years old, after drowning in a swimming pool, and being revived. It left her with a feeling of sadness that she had been rejected, which is how she interpreted being sent back to live.
She stunned her Jewish family by becoming a Christian minister in her later years, though she was on very good terms with them, even when she cradle-snatched and married a man 17 years younger than her. (Lucky woman! )
