I've been following Lutec and it's device with interest over the years.

I'd genuinely thought they'd either been bought off or scared off, since everything went very quiet from their end.

I'm a bit confused by the article you pasted in your post...they have been off the scene for a long time, around 5 or 6 years, getting patents and so on sorted out, but they are only *now* building a production prototype?!!

It's taken them 6 years to build a prototype...after they already had a prototype which was demo'd to Sky news years ago...something doesn't add up.

To my disappointment, they have sold their invention to a Hong Kong firm for 30 million dollars last year in 2010.

The new firm says they will also commercially sell it thankfully.
