A spokesman for the United States Embassy in Wellington said, as far as he knew, all US delegates visiting Christchurch for the two-day United States-New Zealand Partnership Forum were safe following this afternoon's devastating earthquake.

The forum, which brought together 200 officials from the US and New Zealand at the AMI Stadium, was due to finish today.

I was interested to know if anyone knows anything about this party of delegates and their history ,
Very bewildering circumstances as im sure U.S politicians in Christchurch is not a daily/monthly/yearly occurrence, either way ill do some digging around also about this forum meeting ,

i saw a news peice about a new agreement between our govenment nz and the usa govenment
with the set up of a program to get people with high skills and talents together to make a
think tank type group for technological development
this is for tech and finacial development between our countries
