Confiscation of Gold and Silver by the U.S. Government

I ran across this thread a short time ago. Haven't been able to find very many sources but still digging. God help us if it's true. I think most will not give it up without a serious fight.

I think folks are just about fed up with Washington telling us what we can own and what we can't.

Might just have to get back in to mining a bit to keep things interesting.

Doesn't really surprise me,however I think it will surprise those attempting to confiscate the gold, that they're mostly going to have lead and copper coming at them at a high rate of speed.

I am always weary of the big boom on buying precious metals in the past several years, have my reservations about 'why' the big push, but it does make sense that they would want us to invest in physical so that when the dollar crashes they can confiscate all the metals for themselves.

well, we have the first time they did confiscation as a tip on what to expect...
I suspect that there will be a time to trade the gold and silver for things more usefull at the time...
like lead and beans....

What they will do, ARE doing, is they will just make giving up your gold and silver the only way to get the shelter food and medicine you need to combat the situations they are creating..
Most will give over willingly and in so doing will sign over their death warrants.

They have massive predictive computer systems like "google" (etc) to control the situations....

I hate to shoot a theory down that is Anti Government Capitalism etc but I really don't see them confinscating any Gold anytime soon. They need us. We are their slaves and they don't want to piss us off in record numbers for fear what happened in Egypt could happen here. Relax People!

if they did confiscate gold and silver who in there right mind would turn theres in??? i sure wouldent. they dont know how much i have if i even have any so whatever.

I truly don't see any confinscation happening, it is simply not enforceable, most people didn't back in 33 and most will not now.
Now for the video, 100k an ounce? Hmmmm me smells a rat, who is pushing what?
Maybe the slaves are not buying enough gold and the masters need to push us into it.
I have always stood firm on the idea gold is the rich mans tool against the poor man, i don't have any, well other than a ring on my finger, and that will come at a dear price were anyone attempt to take that.
Now if gold is made illegal here in the US and you can't spend it, who is to stop someone from carrying it across to another counry?
A few ounces would go down quite smoothly and come out just as shiny on the other side, and no health side effects either.

I think this entire thread is skeptical.... The orders in the Wikipedia link were revoked so no longer are in affect.

Even if the SCOTUS said "Yes" to such an illegal, and fundamentally unconstitutional move (gold and silver being held as commodities and not used as legal tender as such) I've got a .40 judge and several other "Supremes" that would clearly say "Hell NO".

The Bad News - Yes, this Executive Order is true.

The Good News - It's from 1933. Nothing to worry about, even if it did happen before, very unlikely it could be enforced in this day and age.
