hiya,
i love ATS, especially some of the wise comments by long time ATS users. Sometimes I bow down to their knowledge and sometimes I think they talk poop.
I've been here officially for a year or so so can't really comment on the 'dumbing down' observed here recently. Or the numerous hoaxes that seem to attract a lot of illogical and 'Icke-esque' believers.

But my crux here is I've been checking people's joining date and there posts/ flags/ stars etc and I've noticed that some people seem to have posted on average over 100 posts a day... every day... sometimes the figure is higher.

Is that mad?

I think that is quite extreme and wonder what others think. I go to ATS every day and maybe post a few times a week, at the most on average once a day. It's the most I post anywhere. I consider that a lot.

Maybe I'm mistaken but I think people who can post 3,000 times a year need to get out more.

I haven't embraced e-mailing on the move so perhaps those posters are early 'twitters'. ?

But what do you think... is 100 posts a day a sign of 'lack of life' ?

I usually shoot for 200 posts a day or more. And no, I haven't seen the sun in a while. I thought the sun blew up when Nibiru crashed into it, no?

I really can't say. I think my average is around 10 posts per day, but I am not here every single day. I find this site one of the more interesting on the web, so I do post here more than anywhere else. The depth and breadth of topical discussion just begs response. Some of my responses anr more considered than others, and some are just to "stir the puddin"; though hopefully not falling to the status of trolling.

I just worked mine out at 18.497561 posts per day, but most of those were made before I discovered the chat room so now it's probably way lower

Interesting, though what about all the posts one needs to make correcting the stupid apples that think they can make other people into their beach? Those can add up...this post here might even be one that starts off another chain of my having to make them. ha

Are they more than one person posting under the same identity, who are constantly keeping one view 24/7 on the ats boards?

Might you care to define what you mean by Icke-like?

Even when I was out of work with a hard core ATS addiction, I don't think I ever made 100 posts in a day. Even when I get into a heated debate on some of my threads I don't approach nearly that.

Now, I try not to post unless I feel I have something positive to add to a thread, even if its only some silly joke to break the tension.

If you want to rack up some useless posts to hit the 100 post landmark however, I've got just the thread for you:

I sometimes feel better when I step away from ATS for a few days...but I mostly stay away for a day here and there. The problem becomes for me personally that at times there can be so much negative information on this site that I think it can really screw with someones well being...seriously how much 2012, nibiru, bird deaths, solar flares, earthquakes, oil disaster, tragic youtube information, massacres, police shootings, shootings of police, government takeover, NWO, Manchurian Presidents, shadow governments, poisoned food and the basic collapse of the United States can a person take. You can't tell me that looking at this information half a day can be healthy for any of us...I will say it's not but it is clearly addictive which goes back to the OP's Pose on 100 a day...just like there is video game addictions I believe there is ATS addiction with more far reaching personal consequences...call me crazy but I do enjoy this site but I know deep down inside all this negative stuff can't be good.

I know there are some uplifting posts but that's has to be less than 10% of the stuff that is late breaking or even popular or new topics...

I cant even fathom how to post 100 posts in a day, or what to post in them. My record is probably around 5 or 6 posts on a single day. You know what, Im going to try posting 100 posts today, just to see what it feels like and to see how far I can go.
This is my second post of the day. 2 down 98 to go.

I am truly sorry, but I cannot resist the urge to post again.

What is my post count again?

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever kick this horrible habit. It is a habit that consumes every minute of every day. This habit I cannot stop thinking about, at work, at home, hell even at the movies. Someone help me kick this habit called ATS.

I'm sorry op. I S&F you for putting up with my BS.

I don't usually drop links to my own work into other peoples work... But on this occasion I must as these things are so closely related. There is an extant checklist to gauge if you happen to have an ATS addiction or not.

I remember your thread. And yes I can say that I have answered yes to more questions on your list than I would like to admit.
