If you're looking for video clips, sorry, move along....

I've mentioned my encounter a few times in different threads, but I've not seen a logical explanation to what myself and others have witnessed.

Caveat:

1) I am of sound mind
2) I know what a satellite looks like
3) I am telling the truth

If you agree with the above, please continue

Forget the fluff, regarding what I was doing, where I was, etc etc.

I pointed out a 'satellite' to my friends. I watched it for 10-15 seconds travelling as you would expect. It then goes off at a 90 degree (ish, sorry, no protractor to hand!) angle at the same speed. Instant turn, no deceleration.

All I want is a logical explination (with evidence to support) to what we witnessed.

Thanks for reading.

D.

Was it similar to this object?

Its kind of hard to do without having a visual of what you're talking about. Sounds like you had a UFO sighting, good for you. I dont think you need all of us here at ATS to tell you what you saw.

aliens.

but seriously i saw something very similar to that once. just maybe 6 months back. did it light up when it turned?

Yes, similar.

I was tracking it moving "up" and just looked like any other satellite that I've seen before. Until I pointed it out to my friends, and then we all watched it changed direction.

That's all you want? Well good luck with that. If you were only asking for an explanation, maybe..
But supporting evidence? Are you serious?

In reply to your character traits. Integrity is granted when integrity has been earned. With no way to view what you say you saw, there is no way to believe you. I personally do not know you from Adam. In my experience someone asking me to "trust them", is the last person I should trust. Pony up the evidence or go away.

In order for any physical object to do a maneuver like that, it would have to have either very low mass or very low inertia.

The reason any mass experiences "G-forces" during a turn like that is because of the inertia from it's mass.

If you have technology that can take away or negate the effects of inertia that your mass has, then you would be able to do amazing things with very little energy.

If you couldn't negate inertia, then you would have to negate the mass (and the inertia follows). Again, they are almost the same thing, so if they weren't separable then you would need to eliminate the cause of G-forces.

It would be as if you were a hologram made of pure light.

Everything above depends on whether it's a physical object. Now if what you saw was actually just light or a hologram, then what you saw is easily explainable.

I'd would lean strongly towards spy drone, spy satellite, or military covert aircraft. If E.T.s can get here, I'm sure they can bank 90 degree turns in their vehicles. What is likely though, would be the above mentioned man made devices.

That's not the reason for my post. I have idea of what it could be, but that’s irrelevant.

I wanted to strip away the normal fluff in 'UFO' reports, and just concentrate on the facts and logical reason for what we saw.

I could give you a visual aid, but no need. I've told you the facts of this. I just want to see if there is a logical answer for an object that appeared to be a satellite, suddenly making an unexpected 90 degree manoeuvre.

I could draw a pic, but again, if you know what a satellite looks like, and have seen them move through the sky, then any graphic I present is kind of pointless. Ya get me?

No.

The only thing it did was to change course with no speed difference.

About 8 months ago i was walking home late in the night, i live in sweden and it was really dark outside this night with a clear sky. It was the first night i've ever seen so many stars in the sky. Anyways, i was looking up at the sky for about 2 min and suddenly i see something that i first thought was a star, this thing was clearly moving fast and making very fast turns without slowing down, just like you are describing. I kept looking at it for some minutes untill i see that there are 2 of them now. I really want to know what i saw that night, these things where following eachother and making fast turns, sometimes at different directions and then they would come close to eachother again, they never stopped, always constantly moving fast. It was like they where playing together.

I am completely honest in what I write, i just want to know what you guys think i saw that night?

Thank you for your answer.

Looking at other replies, it seems as it's 'home time' and the kids are about.

Nice, I absolutely agree

Also, imagine a propulsion system that accelerated every atom within the actual vessel, including the all atoms of the vessel, its passengers, and any other object inside of it.

As you make your 90 degree turn, or 180 for that matter (pun intended), you wouldn't feel any force whatsoever.

You left out 'critters'
Being made of plasma energy they no more experience inertia then does ball lightning

Plasma life forms

Zorgon, you honour me with your post.

I'm not ruling out anything. I just want to an answer.

The thing the troubles me is what tech do we have that can move at high speeds and not differ in acceleration to make a 90 degree turn? If it was a spy sat / drone, then laws physics still apply. So if what I saw was of terrestrial origin, then we must have found ways to compensate for these forces / have new propulsion techniques. Which in turn then brings about the following questions:

How do we know how to do this?
Why are we using redundant technology in the mainstream?
