None of them. After reading the Debka article, my understanding is that the only thing delaying the Iranians is the Canal Authority. The US ships are simply regathering (after transiting south through the canal) across the bay from the Iranians.

Please, people! That quote is nothing but a wild unsupported spew from this unknown person. There is no "box", there is no "delay" by the US warships, there isn't even any interaction between the two forces! They are on opposite sides of the mouth of the bay, as far as I can tell. It's all made up from whole cloth. That's assuming the Iranians are even allowed in to the Canal. They haven't been since the 1979 revolution.
