I get it. I am sure she got a few angry phone calls as well. Maybe even some snail mail is on the way. The article can try to conflate one email and some facebook spam to actual backlash but when you pull your head out of facebook and enter the world where most actual VOTERS live, you just hear them damn chicadas.

I will believe there is some actual TEA party backlash when I SEE TEA party backlash. Believe me, I know it when I see it. They spent the better part of the last two years showing us how they present backlash against things like healthcare reform. They set a precident for what their backlash consists of.

I do not frequent facebook, much less Bachman's personal page. Eerily quiet out here.

I only became interested in politics at all because of Ron Paul. I was one of the tiny percent that voted for him in the 1988 presidential election. When I saw how badly the press treated him then I realized that politics would not be sufficient to change this corrupt system. I just can't bring myself to register as a republican. Voting for Libertarians is a lot like political masturbation. It might make you feel good but it will produce no progeny or any real lasting benefit.

It's called HOPE. Pure and simple, people were hoping that the TP was a real movement. They were hoping that the Republican ideals wouldn't hold up under Tea Party rule. They were lied to and believed it. It's really kind of sad.

What you refer to as silence from the Tea Party is actually silence from the media on TP movement that is not interesting to the press. The press will not bring a camera out even when the TP is 10,000 strong at a rally for the republic for instance and Ron Paul is speaking. Let the Tea Party Express and Palin command a crowd and the press are all over it and thus no silence. It is all a lot of perception engineering by the MSM. The real grass roots is ignored and the fringe crazies or the neocons are the ones that have a camera in their face. It distorts the truth of the grass roots involvement.

I remember early on in the Tea Party there was a rally for the republic in DC and over 10,000 + people attended. It was peaceful and orderly if loud. There were dozens of videos on youtube covering it and RT, Press TV, and Al Jazeera were all there with cameras but not one American news outfit covered this very large event. Fox did not start covering the Tea Party events until it had been infiltrated and cooped by the neocons they serve. It is all just perceptual distortion and control you are reacting to.

am betting that the backlash from the Tea Party against all of these double dealing liars they helped to get elected is going to continue. They will begin to realize that you can not vote a man or woman into office and expect them to do what they said they would do. If they want to stay in office they will tow the party line or be delegated to the fringe.
