FBI Pushes for Surveillance Backdoors in Web 2.0 Tools

The FBI pushed Thursday for more built-in backdoors for online communication, but beat a hasty retreat from its earlier proposal to require providers of encrypted communications services to include a backdoor for law enforcement wiretaps.

I don't know. I believe the intent of the concept is well-intended but I think it is pretty safe to say that this will be abused by them and they will somehow trample on the individual rights of a person.

But, think of the possible terriorist and other criminal/dagerous types they can spy on. Not me?

This is a bluff call , no question. The FBI dont NEED backdoors, because they have access to government sponsored hackers , ghosts in the great machine. Why have a backdoor, when you know people who can pick the locks on the front door?
