Is this to educate yourself?To protect yourself?
I would first get a few good books on cult studies, Also hypnosis and NLP which is really just a brand name for a much older science of persuasion.
Seriously though I will be educating my kids on the techniques of mind control for defensive purposes.

For a good case study watch a burger add or sex drink commercial. Self assess yourself next time you feel hungry or thirsty while out . Did it have an effect? MIT also offers free psychology online lectures.
Who knows if you stick with it you can make it into a career like advertising ,marketing etc. Knowledge is power. Educate yourself and you will see when people apply different techniques on you. Then decide if thats really what you want to do.
Knowledge and connection to the true self is the best defense so know yourself is step one. Hope this helps.

You can find a lot of their videos on Youtube and Cathy O Brien's book can be found for free on Scribd but it might make your computer go super slow. Read as much as you can from that site link I gave you.






You can find a lot of Cathy O Brien on Youtube, but definitely read her book Transformation of America, it will surprise you, what you read.

Do a thorough study on suggestion, and what the term really means in relation to personal and mass mind control. Any true understanding of mind control necessitates an understanding of conscious, subconscious, and the critical factor. Also called our gatekeeper by some. Advertising companies are masters at subliminal suggestion.

As was also mentioned, look into Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP. NLP is a form of conversational and/or waking hypnosis. Although it works as a self-help method too. NLP is used a LOT in TV and in Hollyweird. Once you study it, you'll see it everywhere.

I could go on and on, the mind is one of my hobbies, and has been for many years. That will get you started though.

ETA: Use google to look up some of the terms mentioned by myself and others. You'll find a mountain of info.

There have been some congressional hearings into the MK Ultra program back in the 70's. Detail was light but stuff has been going on. It is only reasonable to assume further programs have been going on since considering the practice was not fully exposed and cleaned up when congress started looking at it.
