(Arkansas) Geologist urges residents to be prepared for quakes

thecabin.net

It isn’t if, it’s when.

That was the message given to folks gathered Tuesday to hear about how to prepare for an earthquake.

Scott Ausbrooks of the Arkansas Geological Survey talked about the big ones: New Madrid in Northeast Arkansas and Missouri, San Andrea in California.

He also talked about those closer to home: The Enola Swarm and now, officially, The Guy Swarm.

Earthquakes in the Greenbrier and Guy area are occurring more frequently. Most are too deep, too small to be felt by human

I am a pretty perceptive person. I am not gloating. I am just stating a fact. But I honestly can't tell what's hype, what's purposeful planned fear and what's real concern anymore.

Do the PTB really know more about what's going on (and why) than they're sharing with us?

This new planet (Nibiru, but call it what you wish) I feel, is the culprit. Just like Lucus stated and which, I posted yesterday....the arrival of this planet (star?) really helps tie everything in. Right down to the implosion of Betelgeuse.

There are far too many things to keep up on and not none, very pleasant either.
So I have to stop and re-think things out and try to figure out if all these things are REALLY a cause for concern or....do the PTB want us riddled in fear?!

Comments, commiseration or concern are much appreciated. So please post a reply.

This geologist will turn up dead soon, car crash most likely but could also succumb to a heart attack, suicide or some "unexplainable" cause.
Probably a suicide though, so his benefits wont have to be paid out.

I feel the same way, it's getting to the point where I'm starting not to care what happens if anything at all. If I let all these events from the revolutions to the earthquakes consume my thinking like they were I will end up sitting in my house and becoming some kind of weird recluse hermit. I will admit I still like to read up on everything but I have created a certain disconnect but I am in no way naive either.

that was...fairly extreme, did you follow the link?

the only con I can think of from the link is that if no quakes happen people will lose interest and then BOOM earthquake. I guess at least now they know what to do when one happens. ie. don't run about in panic and get KO'ed by falling roof tiles and or chimney pots.

Why? The damage is already done! But, I know what you're eluding to though. cause look what happened to John Wheeler (and Phil Schneider to name a few).

Well they won't/can't forget about it until after April when FEMA finishes holding an earthquake drill for a million residents.

Yeah, nothing TOO strange about all this. So everyone go watch more Reality television programs!

Good attitude. I can't say I'm disconnected though. But I don't fear any of this. I am just trying to connect the dots and share whatever I might find along the way, with others. And ATS is a great place because most people I know, don't care or don't want to know. They're too busy trying to exist day to day to be bothered with outside interference and static!
What a mess ......all the way around.

All this info and/or disinfo is enough to make your head spin. What's the truth? What is really going on? It is almost too much to keep up on....spinning out of control. Will things culminate soon or in 2012....

I give up....what happens...happens! Shift Happens...right?

I'm just curious, how does Betelgeuse have anything to do with this new planet / star they've found? Betelgeuse is a long way away, and I just can't grasp how this planet / star is supposed to affect it. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just need some help grasping it.

Human_Alien is right though.

Because it's not that unreasonable to think, if a huge planet/star comes in closer, it might possibly affect other stars.

We've never dealt with this to know the outcome. I just find the timing very uncanny and interesting. We've never experienced a supernova (within our neighborhood) nor have we ever experienced a NEW gigantic body entering either.

So it's not out of the realm of possible consideration. That's all. Not saying it's true but certainly not going to think it's just coincidental too.

Congratulations for allowing your fear to harm him, doofus.

Are you working for "them" when you say such things?

Do your preps and live.
Keyword there is LIVE.
If the plates shift and you fall into the earths crust, or another planet causes the moon cycle to freak out and cause tsunami, or.... we can do nothing about it.
Don't live in fear, if you die from any of those the pain will be quick.
I will die once and only at the very end, until then i live the best i can.
Gotta walk the doggies now!

It's better to be warned than no warning, being prepared un-usally things are occuring all across the globe, what's going on, were not entirly sure, but be prepared for the worst. Maybe people will go out there way to reinforce there houses stock up food medical supplies. Maybe the sisuation will settle down and lay quite for 200 years.
But chances are something is up, and now you have recorded history model showing what is up for furture generations, it is a model for behavior part of history.

I have looked into the planet x theory and became convinced that it wasn't true. I understand that most astronomy is done by amatuers and feel that someone out there would have spotted it. The fear possibility however seems more plausible, the authorities do like to keep the people in fear. Does anyone think that the HAARP project haas anything to do with it?
Comments, commiseration or concern are much appreciated. So please post a reply.

My guess is they have a way to predict earthquakes but in order to avoid mass panic, they don't say anything.

After all, as Katrina proved, it's impossible to fully evacuate even a small city. It's a "greater good" formula to the people in charge. They probably calculated they would lose more money and/or lives if an evacuation took place as opposed to saying nothing and then just cleaning up.

Maybe unlike the weather, the spam of prediction is a few months or years. It would be very costly to care for all those people. Maybe it could be done for the city the size of Memphis but if you are taking about the coast of California, it would be impossible. So maybe they don't say anything because they know even a larger quake is going to happen.

This is how I look at these things. If something is out there in our solar system causing all this weirdness on the planet and is in fact going to cause some catastrophy do you really think that if anyone higher up knew about it they would tell us? No. It would cause mass panic and they of course do not want that. If something happens it happens, there is nothing you can do to stop or prevent it. I don't worry about all these predictions that have been coming up. Yes things seem weird but that just could be normal for the planet and it's cycle.

I am just gonna live my life for right now and not worry about things.

I'm pritty sure that it is not possible to predict earth quakes to any accurate degree. Maybe they have released the warning because their is a pattern emerging that suggests something maybe about to occur and they wanted to warn people. I understand that a pole shift has been underway for sometime. Magnetic North has been travelling towards Russia at the rate of 12 miles a year. Perhaps this disturbance is stirring things up geologically speaking.
