Obama Budget Leaves Out Interest Payments

The propose budget by the Obama administration left out interest payments on the national debt.

Fox News reports:

For an $80 interest payment, that might be manageable. But this is the United States budget. If the government does what the Obama administration is recommending, net interest payments will go from about $200 billion this year to $844 billion in a decade. That's more than the country spends now on Social Security.

I hope the fact that we will be spending as much on interest payments as we are on socialist security is not lost on you people.

Of course, intentionally leaving out the interest on the debt is not the only funny business going on.

The government also assumes that tax increases will cover the difference in additional spending programs that are being proposed. This will not happen - ever.

No matter how high taxes are raised, they always total to around 20% of GDP and they will never go any higher. The rich who pay most of those taxes pull their money out and hide it or they ship it overseas. The total amount collected almost never goes above 20% of GDP, even when tax rates were faaaaaaaar higher than they are now.

Also, this assumes rates don't explode.

In order to control the insane inflation that will be created by the stimulus spending and outrageous money printing of the Fed, interest rates will necessarily have to skyrocket. - This too is impossible. It will never happen.

Hear me now, believe me later - the dollar is going to end.

We have been under a debt mortorium since 2008 and as a result all interest payments have been forgone so that we can pay down the debt and not have to pay trillions in interests as that will allow us to pay down the debt faster hence why the Federal Reserve ain't financing a thing as of late because they are demanding intrest payments.

I like it. don't pay the interest payments, don't pay them ever. The interest should be ignored, as well as any debts accrued to central bankers.

Hey, what the heck does this guy think he is doing? Giving bad vibes to the Pres should be a crime. I think this guy should get about 5 years hard labor.

At the least he should get stripped of all his property. Property should be shared or owned by the government. This way no one can control others except for the government. Because the government should control everything, especially our beliefs. The government should decide what we believe because they know what is best for us. Heck they should give us the quantity of calories we should eat just like they do in North Korea. I am sure that NK and Michelle can get together and decide on what we should eat. Maybe she can set up a system on how many grains of rice and corn we are allowed to eat each day.

Right, because nutrition guidelines = communism and obviously it does't matter what you eat, you'll always be fine. Eat whatever you want, you'll never get fat or have health problems that effect not only the people you love and others you don't, but also the economy as a whole. See, I can play sarcasm too. Grow up. Please. I'm sure you're a bright guy. Too bright to buy into this whole Obama is going to ruin the world because he's a Communist bull. What is this anyway, the 50s or 60s? We've got bigger things to argue about.

Communism is such an outmoded scapegoat and focusing on it gets in the way of the real search for answers. How do you think the government got so much power anyway? A lot of it has to do with Communism, more specifically the fear of it. Just like terrorism today. I say we do away with both scapegoats and get after the real terrorists: the global elite.
