Bump for this great thread---deserves many more stars. Hey, easynow: How are you, brother? Haven't seen you around in awhile but I see you dropped in at the end of June. Your contributions are missed!

The following excerpt is from one of easynow's links that is now dead but that I found elsewhere. A very interesting article and worth a read,

One of the most unpopular UFO theories of all time was actually proposed by Kenneth Arnold himself and curiously can be found cited in the now-declassified 1949 government Project Sign UFO report. Naturalist Ivan T. Sanderson and writer Vincent Gaddis also were proponents of this unpopular idea.

But the major name associated with this seemingly bizarre theory is Trevor James Constable. It goes by several variant names but it is best known as the “Space Animal” or “Space Critter” theory. Kenneth Arnold wrote that UFOs are “groups and masses of living organisms that are as much a part of our atmosphere and space as the life we find in the oceans.” Sanderson wrote that it was “the most probable explanation” of UFOs. Constable, however, gave the most detailed explanation writing that they “are Amoeba Like Creatures existing in the plasma state. They are not solid, liquid, or gas. Rather, they exist in the fourth state of matter—plasma—as living heat-substance…” He went on to relate that they are in the infrared portion of the electromagnetic energy spectrum and thus, are typically invisible.

As a section in Ronald Story’s Encyclopedia of Extraterrestrial Encounters relates, “The space animal theory has never captured the public imagination, and it has not been seriously considered by most UFO researchers.” Indeed. Rutledge’s research has also been largely ignored because there isn’t much in it that pointed to an extraterrestrial presence.

I've never been a fan of the tectonic strain theory, as I've never seen a good explanation as to how the sparky Sparks jump from the compressed crystal in the ground to up in the air.

And I'm also not sure about how reliable the First People's reports are. Many had no written language, and over the decades they've had a tendency to tell the White Man what he wants to hear, either to mess with him or to make a few bucks. They don't quite have the same notion of objective reporting, at least in the past.

Still, fun stuff. Makes you remember that there's more to the UFO story than tic-tacs.

Wrapup of this old thread:

The primary mission the Yakima Training Center is to serve as the live fire training, maneuver and combined arms exercise facility for Fort Lewis and visiting units. In addition to infantry, artillery and armor live fire training the YTC is home to Vagabond Army Airfield and Selah Airstrip and provides an area for aircraft maneuvering and live fire training. In conjunction with its role as a training facility the Yakima Training Center has been tasked with a leading role in the global surveillance network operated by the National Security Agency (NSA) known as ECHELON. The signals intelligence (SIGINT) branch of the base is known as the Yakima Research Station and plays a vital role as an intercept station. The Yakima Research Station intercepts a large amount of communication intelligence passed between intelligence satellites and other international communications satellites.

Hey dude please explain further.

I'm not involved with the 'SigInt community' yet the historical UFO activity of the area is still extremely interesting to me.

I think this part of the quote is what Direne referred to--

would it be too much for someone to set up one or more infrared cameras and point to the sky for a while and see if anything shows?
maybe some DOD entity quietly did that and found the plasma critters, and so now the gummint isn't worried about UFOs.

Thank you, Sir! What did you think of Little's surmising? I'm not sure about any particular theory along these lines other than I'm personally convinced therein is the suggestion of some answers to some of the phenomena that fall under the ufological umbrella.

Hey Gut, have been gradually going through every episode of 'Sasquatch Chronicles' and there are some truly fascinating accounts from this area - also a remarkable number of reports of 'strange lights' witnessed at the same time.

Thought it deserved a mention on this thread.

Your comment "some of the phenomena" is along the lines of what I think.

There are, as you well know, different "categories" of ufological phenomena. The ones in which the wind picks up before a sighting have made me think the IDH could possibly be in play -- something "pushing" into our space time would displace air, etc.

The lights mentioned by Little, though, point to a different source IMO.

Oh well, that confirms my theory that Big Foot, and Sasquatch, are alien pets sent out for relief like we do dogs. They don’t need leashes, though.

This happened last month…..

Yakima Valley BIGFOOT CON 2022

Bob Gimlin of Bigfoot fame was to be there….

Perhaps someone here can go to 2023…if they have one…..and give us a synopsis.

In a TRVL cable channel series……Expedition Bigfoot……the team noted and filmed strange lights in the sky which they speculate is connected to the, hopeful, Bigfoots they are seeking.

Don't reckon they should be fooling around in the forest.

Extremely dangerous 'beings' and the missing people maps do look to align with cryptid reports.

Maybe if they bring it east. I had a friend who used to big foot hunt in Stokes State Forrest in NJ…, and they show up in Pennsylvania...It’s not all California and Utah.

Bigfoot in New Jersey? 7 dozen sasquatch sightings across the Garden Stateylvania

Plus, we got other things roaming the Jersey pine barren forests, The Jersey Devil, who is just as awesome as big foot and probably could take him in a Godzilla/Rodan-type match with his aerial ability.

So tell him to keep his fat ass out of Jersey!
The Pine Barrens aren’t big enough for Sasquatch and the Jersey Devil

Here’s what those Fool’s recorded that interest me the most…..

Using normal flashlight’s in the night…..a shadow figure (presumably a Bigfoot since this is what the show is all about) across a stream, is seen walking? then disappears.

Using LiDAR while walking in the woods at night ……two figures are captured walking side by side (the second figure is there but faint)

Most impressive ….Using b/w night vision on a drone at night that’s flying near the wooded shore of a lake.

In the first screenshot before it goes behind a tree as it walks……it faces in the direction of the drone….as if it knows it’s being watched …..

All cast members and film crew were discounted as being the figures shown in the above vids captures.
