Have taken the leap

I've been lurking on this site for at least 2 years now and have been finding that more and more i'm finding the need to have input in the discussions

I've had quite a varied life so far, from living in multiple countries growing up to going to a UK boarding school even though my family is from a working class background. I've been to uni to study physics and chemistry separately and now work as a research scientist. Sadly science hasn't answered all of my questions and i crave for more answers so this site seems a perfect place to exercise my grey matter when work hasn't already drained it.

I couldn't tell you particular topics i enjoy since i seem to read all sorts, it just depends on what mood i'm in and what threads seem interesting at the time. I may not post a lot, at least not initially, since in the past as a lurker i've only felt the need to post when i have something of value to add to the conversation that others haven't already covered.
