I am a curmudgeon and a pain. I plan to email the St. Louis Fox station every day the quakes happen to urge them to do a story on this. St. Louis is just up the road from all the shaking.

Right now I'm only thinking about one thing. The meeting. I hope you went Susan. I hope you report here as soon as you can.

In my opinion, there is no way the Commission will let the injection wells continue. And in a few months, the data will show the truth.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

Chesapeake Operating Inc. and Clarita Operating LLC both said before a hearing Friday in Little Rock by the state Oil and Gas Commission that they will comply with an emergency request to stop injections of used natural-gas drilling fluid in the two wells in Faulkner County.

The drillers made the announcement in a pre-meeting notice. Still, the commission voted 8-0 to approve an emergency order ceasing operations at that the two injection wells. Commission staff suspects that the wells may be linked to an outbreak of hundreds of small earthquakes in the Faulkner County area.

It's official.
They stopped the injection wells.
It was a shut out. No dissenting votes.

Umm, sorry. Always the analysist. Cheasapeake energy has recently sold their operations in Arkansas.
They knew. They sold. They were ready.
Slash and burn.
Ravage and move.
That's big oil's unwritten business plan.

You might want to ignore this if you're tired from the fight.
But I see another brushfire starting.

Yipee!!!! Now we need to sit back and watch what happens.

And will these companies pay for what they have done to AR residents? The scales of justice are tipped in favor of those with the money. They will walk away from this a whole lot richer and suffer no consequences. Our president needs to do his job and stand up for the american citizens. This needs a formal investigation and consequences.

My question is now - how many other injection wells are there? I am hesitant to rejoyce for this reason = They stop at 2 well but have 5 more. The quakes continue because they are still injecting but most everyone thinks they have stopped. So, at the end of March when the Big meeting is they can say - see it wasn't the injecting that triggered the quakes and then are allowed begin again.

I understand your hesitation. But I don't think the officials will reverse their decision. The spotlight has been on this story too long. The oil guys will scatter like cockroaches when you flick on the light. They'll move on. The officials won't allow it to restart, because they would be responsible. They would need a mountain of evidence to change their position.

My thoughts exactly. And of course what about the stability of the region they may never totally get back? But I feel we should see some considerable decrease in activity. Enough to prove the cause.

I have a question, how come every helicorder here is malfunctioning at the same time? List of helicorders

I've been noticing those 'blanks' also. Could have something to do with a network disruption.

It's normal. Over the last few weeks it's occasionally had problems. Yellowstone and other webicorders have missing chunks due to technical problems.

Still waiting on a confimation email so I can post comments on that story, including links to research showing that it is linked...

As I've mentioned before, every time one of these stories is posted the truth needs to be offered for consideration. The way i put it in a past post is we need to ATS-ify the MSM. Exposing the nefariousness of the oil company's actions is a tiring and never ending task. one that will require constan vigilance but is of a worthy nature.

Open the door for people and they will step through if they see they are no the first. Most people want to be lead, so let's lead them.

The meeting was short and sweet. They volunteered to stop the injection on the two wells. There will be a hearing again on March 29 which is the regularly scheduled meeting. They handed everyone a piece of paper at the beginning of it and basically read it. Not much. It's not over, we still have a war to win here. I don't know how to post this in here, but am posting it on facebook, maybe someone can post it from there or send the link might work to the document they gave out.

Most people can talk the talk. But you walk the walk.
You're a good soldier.
You could complete any forced march.

SALUTE !!!
