This is not Zeitgeist, its much more problematic for anyone who reads the bible. The description underneath the video explains the blueprint and plan of the entire bible. It presents new proven facts that I never heard before.

I've been a Christian for over 10 years and never had my faith shaken until I read this 1 page of writing.

What do you think about this?

Towards the end of the age, there will be great apostasy of the Way Truth and Life of Christ. It has been written and it will be so. The Word holds true, though people often do not. The children of Creation are loved regardless.

To be honest not my cup of tea the whole religious mumbo jumbo I like to see facts rather then myths. I know your probably wondering why I'm posting on this thread then. Wellllll I just wanna know what's with the map of the world with the funky drawing on it?. And who the **** is Horus, is he meant to be thee Lucifer or some one close to Lucifer .?

Just curios.

History is full of lies and the Bible is part of history. Anyone that's vaguely familiar with the symbolism of the mystery schools, can see that they have had an input in creating Christianity. Judge Jesus by his words; by his wisdom not by the imagery that the evil rulers of this world have attached to him. He will not save you by association: it simply doesn't work like that.

I want to hear some of this wisdom from anybody else - not just claims of wisdom from the likes of Manly P. Hall; not some clever film makers that think they have the truth because they've spotted common features within many religions; I want to hear some genuine and potentially world changing words from these people.

He's quite a loving kond of guy that God bloke (or so I've heard) and He's a big lover of justice. The parent of a serial killer should want to see them held accountable - however much it breaks their heart.

I didn't get it the first time you posted this and still don't get it. Unless my browser is broken the 'video" is just text telling you to read bible verses. Problem is, Horus was the Egyptian sun god with many parallels to Christ, Mithras was the Zoroastrian/Roman god, also with similar characteristics that were absorbed into Christianity to promote its spread in the early days. Krishna was the Indian sun god-also crucified for 3 days. Dionysius was born of a virgin and is another example of a sun god. Lots of historic examples of sun gods like Jesus that came about long before Christianity. Krishna was crucified too. Why not tie him in to Lucifer while you're at it?

The angel of the Lord is a character overlooked by everyone. This video speaks on why he's overlooked, and states that the angel is Christ instead of Jesus.

On that we agree. Many don't make the distinction of Christ the energy (or angel as you say) and Jesus the person. It's an important distinction as many count Christ and Jesus as the same.

Do you know what is dangerous about movies like Zeitgeist and the one posted above?

Two words: Historically INACCURATE.

Ahura Mazda is god according to Zoroastranism. Not Mithra. In fact, Zartosht distincted himself from the main religion at the time, Mithraism - in which, you guessed it, Mithra was god. You can believe and spread later interpretations when they fit your agenda though.

While reported in Zeitgeist, all of that information came from independent research done for a workshop I presented about Sun Gods at a large pagan festival. And yes, you are correct, Ahura Mazda was the primary sun god for Zoroastrianism, but Mithras came to prominence, especially amongst the Roman Soldiers, during the time of the Roman empire just prior to early Christianity. So, before you go railing too hard against Zeitgeist, there are plenty of other texts out there that corraborate the information.

edit on 16-2-2011 by coyotepoet because: (no reason given)

Well, the writing was presented in quite a convoluted manner, but if it is isaying that Jesus = Michael, then yes.
YES.

No. Ra was the Egyptian sun god.

with many parallels to Christ,

Nope.

Mithras was the Zoroastrian/Roman god

Nope. Mitra and Mithras are separate deities.

, also with similar characteristics that were absorbed into Christianity to promote its spread in the early days.

No ancient text records any such thing.

Dionysius was born of a virgin and is another example of a sun god.

Nope.

Lots of historic examples of sun gods like Jesus that came about long before Christianity.

Nope.

Please check your facts. There are people out there simply pushing twaddle out in order to hookwink the unwary. But I don't see how it benefits anyone to get the raw facts wrong.

All the best,

Roger Pearse

I am sorry to hear this, for you told them material that was factually untrue, and which any encyclopedia of religion, any google search, indeed even Wikipedia -- I list materials I think people might be able to access, not materials which a scholar would rely on -- would have told you different.

And yes, you are correct, Ahura Mazda was the primary sun god for Zoroastrianism, but Mithras came to prominence, especially amongst the Roman Soldiers, during the time of the Roman empire just prior to early Christianity.

There is no archaeological evidence for Mithras, the Roman god, prior to 100 AD.
There is no literary source that mentions Mithras prior to 80 AD.

Mithras and the Iranian deity Mitra are not the same, as the archaeology and iconography show, despite the older theories of Cumont.

So, before you go railing too hard against Zeitgeist, there are plenty of other texts out there that corraborate the information.

Sorry mate, but Zeitgeist is factually crap. It doesn't matter whether you agree with their dislike of Christianity or not; Christianity will not be found to false because of "reasons" like this, where the elementary research has not been done.

All the best,

Roger Pearse

lucifer, horus, the morning star, yadda yadda, its all the same thing. worshiping the Material world. the material world is fleeting - the spiritual world is everlasting. thats why capitalism, commercialism, materialism are considered evil by the holy man.

Where exactly does it say that Lucifer and the Morning Star have anything to do with the material world, or the worship of it? Christ refers to himself as the Morning Star, and as the Light. Lux. Ferre.
