Being able to wake yourself up from a dream at will is probably not all that special, so Power, is probably not the best word to use; maybe technique/skill or something like that would be better.

I do not know when I had this dream exactly (as in the date or my age), but I know that I had it when I was a kid.

This dream was one of my few dreams to ever have aliens in it, I have had spaceships in dreams before, but aliens are rare.

In this dream I was outside my parent's house in the daytime, and two small Gray (the common stereotype) aliens were chasing me around the outside of the house in circles.

Fortunately they were slow runners, in fact, they were so slow that I almost lapped them!

I was scared but when I realized that they were so slow, I started to hope that it was a dream so I could wake up.

I had time to stop and try to wake myself up, so I decided to try to lay on the ground and go to sleep, and for some reason I thought that would wake me up in the real world.

I was still too scared so I could not get comfortable enough to go to sleep in the dream, so I kept trying to relax myself and kept telling myself to wake up.

I decided to also think/imagine myself waking up and before the aliens came around the corner of the house, I woke up.

From then on I used this technique to wake up from dreams, but it got easier and easier to do each time I did it.

After using the wake up technique/power
maybe three times, all I had to do was close my eyes and tell myself that I wanted to wake up, and I would.

Then I started to be able to wake myself up by just blinking my eyes while just thinking that I wanted to wake up.

Now I automatically wake myself up on accident usually in the rare dream/dreams that I get too scared in or I just wake myself up with a split second thought/feeling of wanting to wake up.

This works for Lucid and Non-Lucid dreams usually.

The end,
-John Jr

That's ok. Now that you edited it, my post just seems really weird.

That's a weird dream. I can't help but to wonder what they looked like.

Did they look like this?

Or did it look like this?

That top one is totally trippin my #. There are a few others online that are giving me goosebumps.

, Well this dream is from my childhood and I was so busy running, that I did not get a good enough look of them even then.

I am not sure if they were naked or had clothes.

They were short though.

I am not sure of their skin color exactly, but they were probably the stereotypical grayish color.

They had big heads, probably big black eyes, skinny arms, probably skinny legs, probably skinny necks, and probably skinny bodies.

Their skin was probably smooth and they were not muscular.

I can not remember the beginning of the dream or why they were chasing me, and I do not remember any spaceship being in the yard.

I just remember being scared and wanting to escape.

Fortunately, they sure were slow runners.

You don't remember whether or not they were naked?o0?

Kidding... actually I'm still sitting here scratching my head at those pictures. I want to know more about where they are from. I don't think I have ever seen those before... the pictures I mean.

No problem.
But I thought you were the one that found the pictures?

I thought you would know.

Thank you for commenting by the way, I am working on posting two of my Lucid dreams right now.

Well, if you want them analyzed here is the place. A lot of people interested in dreams that's for sure.

About the picture, what I meant is where and when the inspiration for it came from. I'm noticing some very uncanny things about it. I'm not sure whether or not to be amazed by the familiar aspects or feel that it's haunting. Hmmm....

I suppose i could poke around on the links but I'm sure if i got a reply at all it would be no unusual story... but still, I feel strange after finding it. Kind of hard to describe.

I hope you are right, so far I am liking the fact that some people seem to actually respond here and seem to be open to sharing & reading dreams.

Please do let me know if you find out anything interesting about those pictures.

I'm trying to find out now from that person.*sigh* Maybe they will reply but it will probably be some totally unbelievable story or some really dull story that I find aggravating. This is really really crazy to me.

My #ing thing I wrote to that guy didn't even show up.
The guy is in the thread talking about making an autopsy thing and fake project blue book stuff.
...what an asshole! I'd like to pick his brain apart with a fork.
How does he get to make such things? I'm completely pissed off about this.

probably because that image was done by a special effects artist as its from the Zbrush website. Zbrush is a special program used for adding textures to 3D models so the guy/girl who made that image is proabably interestied in a career in the special effects feild. I know because I used to work with that sort of thing - 3d models in maya and texturing in Zbrush. They did a excellent job!
I wouldn't fault them too much for that they want to do a alien autopsy type film
they probably just think it would be fun to do and a good item/film for their portfolio to get a job.

as for the original topic of dreaming I find that very interesting because I have fallen asleep, or gone unconsious inside a dream before and what happens is usally I don't wake up but I go into sort of a dark blankness. When I wake up I am either still in the dream or enter another dream.
of course I've never done this with enough wits about me(lucid enough) to have intent to wake myself up so maybe that makes all the difference. I'll have to see if I can try it out sometime

Ooo, thank you for sharing that.

Your sleeping in a dream experience sounds interesting, I have not had that happen before.

Though I use to have false awakening dreams a lot when I was still in school years ago.

That reminds me!

I hope to post this dream from a few years ago one day, but I once had a Lucid dream within a Dream.

I was in a dream, went to sleep in the dream, had another dream within the dream, and that dream when Lucid.

Then I woke up from the lucid dream within the dream, and in that dream I went to the bathroom and then woke up into the real world.

Crazy stuff.

I know but where did he get the inspiration... this is very elaborate and yes, it is an excellent job. His talent doesn't explain where his artistic vision is coming from and i want to know so i registered but my posts do not show up for some reason. Apparently the thread is a few years old but I have never seen this before... and I have seen quite a few pictures of greys.

There are some things...many things... about it that are too uncanny and it's very frustrating to not be able to get an answer.

Can any one help me interpret this???

Dream Of being chased by a mysterious person...?
When I was like 7 years old, I dream of this Boy who saved me, and for some reasons I don't know why it felt like he was significant to me, I first dreamed of him saving me from some bad guys who kinda chasing me. (my dream was so vivid and I can still remember he is wearing a blue jacket)and then the other dream when I was 16 he was the one chasing me and whenever I go He was there and at the end of my dream he caught me... he changed his clothes wearing a black shirt this time, and he kinda looked like he grew up too, but I know it was him, I don't personally know the guy but he is kinda Good person I think. but I don't know why I was running away from him. (Is he a cop???) I don't know but it kinda bothers me. till now that I am 21, I can't still forget it.
