I often use sarcasm and PA to illustrate a point, so you probably won't like me much.

Having said that, I am glad we can agree that this whole gender-bashing is ridiculous and spreads like a virus when someone starts in on their ignorant rhetoric about why "women are evil" or "men are worthless"...

Maybe instead of us contributing to the obvious heated arguments in these type of threads it would be better to start a thread that sheds light on the gender differences of why they are that way and how to effectively live with one another...

Sadly I don't think you would get as many stars and flags as a thread of insults...

*Side note: I think this thread brings to light many attitudes towards gender (specifically focused on ATS) but interesting to extrapolate, no doubt.

Well you went ahead and bashed men in this post, eye for an eye I suppose? Simple fact is, no man nor woman is more significant than the other. If you want to get on here and make a post with manners explaining your thoughts and stay calm throughout it, thats wonderful, and I'm behind that Idea 100% But that is not what you have done, you are clearly angry as you bashed most men in this post. This should be put under rants. Hatred begets hatred, be the change you want to see and remain calm through all adversity, or nothing will change for you or others.

Whenever I see people making sweeping generalizations about "all men" or "all women" you just KNOW they're talking about one very specific man or woman that really hurt them at some point in their life, the more broad and sweeping the generalization the more you know, just KNOW that their crush in high school probably just didn't like them back or something and they've never really moved past it, gradually becoming more bitter and twisted with each passing day until alone and angry, they will die in front of the TV with a microwave dinner for one in their laps and get eaten by their nine cats.

I apologize the OP does sound to be frankly irritated about a man In her life the more she spouts trying to generalize all men into a common negative stereotypical view clearer it is to see she has shown herself to be childish and hypocritical for even surmising such a generalization.

I have nothing against women but they all have something against me. My whole life women have treated me like total # many with no reason at all, and guess what i'm still kind to them. I've never met a woman with an actual heart, so you tell me, who's the better person? Is blind hatred just an official sport? Maybe the bashing is from other guys who go through similar crap every day, who are constantly oppressed. -cheers

Your point should be highlighted. It applies to everyone.

What surprises me (a little) is that many didn't even read any of the posts. This is not a rant about men. This was an example on how some women bashing threads can also generalize and be hurtful, when women are put into one category.

I have read some hurtful things in both this thread and others bashing the sexes. A women made a generalization and people went nuts. No one was concerned about why, they were concerned about what was said, and how it was said.

The reason for the thread was on the first page. Some of you caught that, but many did not. This wasn't meant to be hurtful, but an example that this goes both ways.

Did you read through some of the other threads that were bashing women? I know at least one of them wasn't meant to be serious at all, although a couple posters there made it serious with their own comments. There was at least 6 or 7 of us that argued with them to defend you women, guess you missed that.

P.S. I get so tired of being stereotyped as some stupid barbarian simply because I'm a guy.

i find there is no greater place in which to give your love no greater partner no greater compliment than women.

Woman bashing needs to stop it is ridiculous and petty. we men need to take a few lumps so the scales can be balanced. all you angry men, now you understand how you have been making women feel for centuries upon centuries.

You can't categorize and label all men into one stereotype... It just goes to show how brainwashed some women are into needing to live the perfect life with the perfect man which mainstream media entertainment tries to portray so often.

You women used to be non- humans before enormous social change took place over the past centuries and no we as a society are headed toward some despotic sick 1984 type world and women can go on and make generalizations of men and men can of women too. But your missing the point we have been social engineered to behave this way break free of he shackles of your delusional fantasy and wake up to the real things in life not your trivial arguments about such trivial aspects of your daily life.

There are way more men in the world for you to meet don't come to rash and quick reasoning unless you've been with every man on the planet

On a serious note though.... Its true that for millenia the world has been male dominated and woman have been used as nothing more than incubators. (With the odd exception) So... In terms of time and the whole race then, men kind of owe for the years of inequality for the female in society.

Having said that. (And keep in mind this is from a male perspective) Because of this, the tables have flipped dramatically in a short period of time. It is now completely unacceptable for a man to say anything which could be misconstrued as a sexist remark. But... If a female makes any comment about a man its a ''funny'' joke.

If men treated strippers at a stag night the same way women may a Chippendale they would be taken to a cell that night....

Its backward now. Equality means EQUAL.

You want proof that not all men are NOT the same... look through this thread. There are some really kind words here, from both men and women and it goes to show that women can speak their minds and not be degraded.

Then there are the other posts, that took this as a personal slap in the face, and lashed out in some really awful ways. Without even reading the thread. Those are the ones that are angry and upset, maybe its the generalization I made (which was explained very early on), or maybe is was because a women did the unthinkable, and spoke to loudly, or to strongly that bothers them.

What ever the problem is I didn't mind putting myself on the line for something that I strongly believe in, and that is that we are all a victim of this twisted society. But we can learn from each other and maybe even change it.
