This is my first thread so please be kind. I will also apologise if this threads content has been brought up anywhere else. I'm not even sure if this is the right board to post this on?

Anyway, here goes: I have been looking a fair bit on google moon (yes I know, not the greatest source of good imagery), as i'm quite keen on astronomy. Anyway, I notice these anamolies all over the place when looking around on it, and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what they are? They are all near enough the same size (althought they lok different sizes on my image due to different levels of zoom), and all a peculiar shape.

I have left all the co-ords on the images so you can go check them out yourself, there are probably loads more to see on there, the search for these ones took me about 15 minutes so they are pretty regular.

If they are photos of different locations but with the same anomaly then that would point to a technical issue with the photography and not the subject of the image. They also look VERY photoshopped to me with very poor blending of the anomaly.

Well posted btw and welcome but if you did the photoshopping, then badly posted and goodbye.

Check the forums here for oodles of interesting moon anomaly stuff.

I mish-mashed them together on photoshop im my beautiful colage yes lol. Haven't photoshopped the images though, go look for yourseelf on google earth using the co-ordinates on the images. I'm looking and still finding loads and loads of these. Could well be an image capturing error I guess....seems to be quite alot of them too!

I would say that some of them seem to have some definition to them though? Look at the one I mean near the bottom with a darker surface?

My first thought was dinosaur (lol) my second thought was:

Hi and welcome
To be honest though you might want to peruse some of the forums (there are a fair few!) rather than post the same thing 20x and find something you actually can contribute to....

Well presented first post.

However, RE: the anomalies....I recall seeing other threads, some months back, about something similar. So hard to remember, after reading many threads in the intervening time....but, the consensus pointed to something involving the camera that took the photos...the ones used to produce the Google Moon assembly.

It is as simple as foreign debris of some sort, inside the camera, in a way that it got itself into the images.....

....hope someone else has better memory, and/or patience at searching through the old threads to find it....not sure which keywords to "Search" to narrow the possibilities....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Came back with one finding. Used "Search", two keywords -- "moon" and "anomaly", and tried the "Aliens" forum, no good. BUT, in the "Space Exploration" forum, this is one I remember from a while back:
Similar??
There are plenty of anomalies that are more intriguing than that one. Not really sure how authentic they are or how authentic your one is but here are some anyway;
Good first time, OP; but, Like Weed Wacker, I do believe this has been determined to most probably be a piece of lint or dust ball on the lense of the camera used to compile the mosaic; can't remember the title of the threads about it(seems like ther have been several) but there are a few...
perhaps I will stumble across one of them and return with a link...
It was discussed here:
www.abovetopsecret.com...
From Phage
Subsequent analysis during image reprocessing has revealed that during the missions foreign debris are present in the optical path of the camera system and can be seen in the seen in the photographic exposures. Selected examples of blemish features of this type are shown in Figure 2. A movie showing blemish movement can be seen here. While the image processing steps undertaken as part of this effort might remove some of these blemish features, users should be aware that blemish features exist and take appropriate precautions.
