Barack Obama: Profile of a Sociopath.

This summarizes some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.


* Glibness and Superficial Charm check

* Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims. check

* Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right." check

* Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests. check

* Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way. check

* Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises. check

* Incapacity for Love check

* Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

* Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them. check

* Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others. check

* Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.

* Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed. check

* Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

* Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively. check

* Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily. check

That list of your claims are completely unsupported and honestly, a little ridiculous because there is no way you could know most of that unless you know Obama, and you don't.

Yes, you did. You just placed a check on nearly everything on your list, but where are the claims that support your point of view? (This is not intended to be offensive, I appreciate that you took the time to create this post, OP!)

For example, where does Obama show an incapacity for love? After all, he has a wife, two kids and none of them looks all too depressed of not being loved by their husband/father. When has Obama dominated and humiliated a victim? This goes on and on and some things on your list could certainly be the true, but that doesn't make him a sociopath.

My guess would be that he's more like a puppet, performing the actions of the same puppet master that "played" Bush.



This just came into mind.. the above named list could perfectly fit for Bush as well!

I think this list would apply to MOST politicians. Not just Obama, or Bush. I'm still kinda new here, but were there bash-Bush threads?

Tis the nature of the beast, I suppose, to feel disdain for whomever is in charge.

I'm relatively new here on ATS as well, so I haven't read bush-bashing-threads here, but I'm sure there are really a lot.

Obama is an employee and does a job.

Who gives him direction?

What is his compensation and why does that afford neglect of the people?

Why do the people continue to allow foreign and financial interest to run America?

Obama is just doing his job.

Ahhh...memories of the days that Bush was a megalomaniacal, psychopathic, malignant egophrenic and Clinton was a nymphomaniac.

Seriously, is there some sort of long checklist somewhere? Full of things like "People dissed Bush for X so now we gotta diss Obama for X (or as close to it as we can get.) All silly rabbits. All of you.

I just ran across bush basher post tonight in fact. The poster blames the whole Middle East/Egyptian situation on Bush policies. LOL, Mubarak has been in power since 1981. I guess the poster didnt realize the Socialist Unions have been involved in the protests, and that even and SEIU member admitted they were involved.
