Hello and thanks for reading. I recently joined this community and am amazed at all it has to offer. Heres a little about me.

29 year old female from Upstate New York. I love anything that allows me to be creative and hands-on, I play with Fimo Clay and I design small cute crafty objects from lots of different mediums. (fabric, clay, wire, etc)

I feel like i have always lived on the fringes and just observed what goes on here on earth, Like everyone else got their "LIFE" software succesfully downloaded and mine had some error that made me unable to understand/accept mainstreams ideals and activities. Better put- ive always marched to my own drum.

Since I was 15 or 16 years old I have had an interest in "What is really going on" in this world, and refused to believe the explanations from the powers that be.

Lately (the last 3 or 4 months) I have an extremely renewed interest in what I will simply call THE UNEXPLAINED. And I cannott shake the feeling that I am experiencing my own spiritual awakening on more levels than I ever have before. I do not have a particular code or program or regime/religion which I follow but I feel like I am being pulled in a more urgent manner than ever before to find SOMETHING which works for me and stick to it (not one of my strong points)

When I was 12 or 13 I had a UFO experience, Strangely, Most of my childhood is hard to pull into recollection and especially this period of my life, but this event is probably the clearest memory i have from childhood. (Id be happy to share details should anyone care) I ended up here on ATS after beginning to research anything and everything from 2012, Mayan Culture, Pineal Gland and so on.... After looking at so many complete thoughts having to do with topics right up my alley I decided to join and since I would like to be a valued member of this community I figured divulging some info about me was probably the best way to start.
Im excited to meet some like minded individuals and expand my knowlege base

Welcome to ATS.

One advice for you is to not believe everything you see here think about what you read in here and analyze every information.

Welcome to ATS TrgiclyHip. from your intro, I think you'll be a good fit here.

I've been coming here for a few years now and it is always the dynamic of individuality that most awes me. You suddenly begin to delve all those people you see everyday in Walmart, at the gas station or in the grocery store or in line at the cell phone store... that you would never otherwise speak to or have the chance to know.

And this is good because no man, or woman is an island. We are part of this species and are tied to every other human being on this planet by our needs of life as much as DNA.

And yes, we are all brothers and sisters which means we won't always agree and we will occasionally have spitting contests...

it's all part of the human condition of which we, you and I, are an integral part

Cheers and... have fun!

Don't be discourage by that crusty old skeptic, everything you read here on ATS is the absolute God's honest truth. You can trust me, I the guy you just met, using a fake name to post anonymously on some crazy conspiracy website.

If you can't trust someone like me, who can you trust?

Welcome to our humble abode here! I hope you will find it as rewarding as I have, and yes it can be overwhelming. There is no way that you will be able to see everything that ATS has to offer in the first few days, weeks or months, but pick the spots where you think you will be most interested. I started in Cryptozoology which was my primary interest, and quickly learned that the forum is slow moving, so I moved over to Aliens and UFO's and, wow, that forum is so fast its hard to keep up, I am still playing catch up there. There is defeintly room for everyone here, the BTS forums are just as fun as the ATS as well. Check those out.

I had a good friend a number of years ago who would have loved your member name. In fact somewhere around I have some old cassette tapes of their early bootlegged performances in small Buffalo venues
Didnt think we wouldnt sniff out your favorite band ?

Holy moly, you've basically described what I have been feeling as of late with a reemergence of the same sense of urgency that I experienced after my first 'awakening" exactly 10 years ago (I'm 32). I've always been a bit "off: so to speak as far as seeing things from a slightly different perspective. I was never one that put all my energy into an ambitious career, or had a wanting of the typical suburban dream (2.5 kids, dog, picket fence etc). Pretty much for the most part lived a lone wolf type living (with exception of past 3-4 years) and been practically an observer and a information hog. For some reason lately (especially in the past 2 months) I have been having a VERY strong urge to fix problems that have been ailing me in the past, and concentrate on the spiritual and personal growth. I don't know what to make of it (maybe related to 2012), but for once I am going with my intuition and working with the tide instead of against the tide.

My attachment to material things have always been rather low compared to most people, but recently it's become real extreme to the point that I am donating all most my books and clothing that I do not use and getting rid of stuff that I've had for years. The funny thing is that I am doing this not because I am scared or want to escape at a given moment or am thinking about packing to the mountains or anything like that; it more of a it no longer has much use for me anymore. Also for the past years after "awakening" or should I say becoming aware that things aren't what they seem to be I was a conspiracy nut. Soaking in all possible information, trying to comb through the lies and deceit. And would frustrate myself because I felt powerless and looked at our zombie, routine-ish society.

I no longer feel that way any more. I can't explain it but in the past month or so, I've come to peace with that and have instead decided to focus inward. I know this sounds cliche and sorta New Agey, but this is honestly happening and I thought I was the only one feeling like this. I don't know what the immediate future holds for us as humans, nor will I read theories, prophesies or anything of the like anymore. For once, it no longer fazes me and all my belief structures in the political, scientific and spiritual seem to be falling away effortlessly, as if it doesn't really matter. One thing that hasn't fallen and has actually become reinforced is the belief that consciousness continues after death, and this is but a cycle. Also the belief that purpose does exists and when I die I will know more then I could possibly ever know in my 5 sense reality.

Yo...

You're gonna do just fine here.

So just relax and give yourself the time to take it all in.

Once you become familiar with a lot of the basic topics/ideas, a lot of it turns out to be a bit redundant/familiar....

Welcome + Enjoy!!~

Welcome, TrgiclyHip! You'll find plenty of like-minded individuals here on ATS.

The range of topics covered here is incredibly diverse and I'm sure you'll find plenty to keep you thinking and delving deeper into the realms of knowledge. And for sure, you'll find some good on-line friends as well.

Enjoy your stay!

EDIT to add: as you're an artist, I thought I'd post the direct link to the Member Art Forum just in case you haven't found it yet. Some great work there!

Best regards,

Mike

While I have never thought that I was the only one who felt this way, i am very encouraged to see in "black and white" an account from another who is going through the same thing. My own INITIAL awakening started around 10 years ago too. And it has had many different levels and layers of self-realization, and moments of being completly lost as well as periods of feeling like I finally found a path on which to trudge onwards.

Thanks for sharing yourself with me, I appreciate your comments

One thing I have already realized here is SKIMMING topics is a bad habit, i have made it a point to read until I am satisfied that i understand fully and then make my own opinions

Thank you... She means a lot to me on many levels, which is why she is the only avatar I've ever used here. Sadly, I don't know who the artist is, but if I could ever find her (or him) I'd gladly acknowledge their wonderful work.

Thanks so much for the welcome, And glad to be among fellow artisans. My username, as pointed out by youdidntseeme, is derived from my favorite band, a bunch of Canucks hardly known of in the USA although they are almost as old as The Rolling Stones and just as revered in their homeland.
