On topic, there must be a way like in star trek for an energy to get rid of cancer, so i assume you just have to find the right one. Surely there is an energy that interacts with your body, or an energy that can destroy it.

But either way, i would assume such a thing is feesable.

If done correctly, a hanging can separate the head from the body without total removal as in actual decapitation. Thereby, it's still technically decapitation through hanging but other scenarios involved in hanging are a snapping of the neck or worst case, slow strangulation which is why the decapitation method is preferred.

Saddam's execution looked more like the neck breaking method to me though the way his head hung to one side after trapdoor release but still....

On topic, I think I'll wait for more info on this before passing judgment although it'd be kinda cool if a cure was found through ET tech.

It doesnt decapitate the head, it breaks the neck and sometimes separates the roots of the spinal cord. When you put the knot on the side of the neck it jerks the spine to the left or to the right, which causing severe tension on the spinal cord which can separate the spinal chord killing you instantly. If it does not, you dangle and suffer, this is called the dance of death. Saddam's neck clearly did snap from the weight of his body, but he was not decapitated. Decapitation is defined as "To cut off the head of; behead."

Im not trying to attack here, but I am stating my point.

Well having studied extensively methods of execution created by our ancestors throughout school, college and in adult life, I think I'll have to agree to disagree there.

This is sooooooo stupid!

The guy that said all of this from his death bed, Ben Rich, died in 1995 of cancer. If we had full body scanners that can detect what condition your body is in and will cure you, then why didn't he use it on himself....?
