Long long long story short I stepped out of a line for an xray scatter at an airport the other day, it was the first time I've had a TSA workers try and force me into one of those or a patdown. I stepped out of the roped line, and into the next roped line, excused myself for being late for my flight and stepped through the metal detector, which caused all sorts of hullaballoo including TSA workers diving at me like I'd pulled a gun and knocking pylons over, and then getting yelled at and harassed when they realized there really wasnt much they could do?

Eventually a police officer came over, and talked to me and the TSA workers (who seemed to have power over the cop) and nothing happened and I laughed and went on my way.

While they talked, I saw this screensaver on one of the TSA computers that flashed pictures with the following words, "BE COMPLACENT" (with a picture of a superior officer doing what looked like teaching a new officer how to patdown) "BE FIRM" (with a picture of a an angry civilian, and a TSA worker with their hands behind their backs, nazi style or something) "BE ALERT" (with a picture of a blurry crowd and TSA worker in the background, looking alert) "BE A TEAM" (with a group of TSA workers with their arms crossed) there were some more positive ones like "BE FRIENDLY" but they didn't stand out like the more .....unsettling ones.

Anyways, who are these TSA folk, they are all either non-white or old white men, and excuse me if I am a bit racist here but, at least in most of the airports I go to, they are predominantly black or mexican, wear their outfits baggy and talk like they are in a gang or something male and female. These people are completely unprofessional, unkind, and downright rude sometimes. Once in awhile I get a really friendly TSA worker, but that's not the norm. My question is, who gets these TSA jobs? How do you apply? Where do they recruit etc? It seems like they are doing what they do with the army, target middle to low income individuals, promise them a job, money, etc for being a law-enforcer.

Anyways, rant over, I hate the TSA.

I changed jobs so that I wouldn't have to fly. I detest poorly educated minions with a little bit of power feeling me up. Don't tell me it doesn't happen. I have had it happen in plain sight. I have also been forced to take off my jacket with a tiny little tank underneath while all of the TSA pervs oogled by goods.

I felt dirty afterwards. It was disgusting. The TSA gangTSAs are poor slobs who work 9 hour shifts for obscene amounts of pay, and then go home and stroke one off while eating a Swanson Salisbury steak meal, while watching Dancing with the Stars. These people disgust me, not only for who they are, but their beliefs. Any American who will violate another American's privacy and civil liberties, is the lowest form of human life there is.

The TSA found its new screeners through ads on gas pumps and pizza boxes…

Interesting description of the screen saver, I'd like to get a look at that.

Yes, I agree TSA agents in some cities have the tendency to be ethnic minorities of lower caliber IQ's who in the private sector would be lucky to ever become a fast food restaurant assistant manager. I'm not really sure what took place that filtered all these same low to mid level IQ minority humans to end up in those positions. That would be an interesting study. (FYI - I realize there are plenty of minorities of high caliber out there so I'm not coming from that angle - my heart surgeon (cardiologist) is one and the guy is multiple times smarter than myself)

I think the few smarter folks that get hired move on to better things and those that stay do so because it's the best they'll ever do. Though I admit they have improved to some 2 year college dropouts along with a few that probably couldn't get hired by our military due to low test scores, mental or physical disabilities - still though I think the low level ones aren't getting hired any longer. It just takes time for them to move through the system and retire.

I'm not sure if they harass successful people of color, but some of them love to harass white folks - both men and women but especially older successful looking white men. This is what I hear from flight crews, since I have family members who have worked for the airlines. Then again the last time I went through it was a white old man that didn't like how my pass was printed and made me wait in line again.

Nobody ever liked them before they were called TSA because they always played their little power games, now though it's pretty scary that you have to keep track of the constantly changing rules. (that's what the NAZI's did in WWII and how prisons keep control of convicts by keeping them constantly confused) Keep track all your belongings as they often separate them from you (making them less secure and you more vulnerable in order to control you) and then on top of that you're responsible for looking out and protecting the older people in your family as well as not letting them alone with your children where they might frighten or feel them up.

Flying used to be a pleasant part of the trip unless you had to do it all the time, now flying is something to be avoided thanks to the TSA.
