Threads started number .. changing itself like magic

I remember i was at 89 .. then i check again shortly after and its 90 .. little bit after its 91 and now 92 ..
i didnt create any thread in that time frame
how come the number is changing like that ?
getting higher like magic

I have noticed that in my profile as well. I just chalked it up to a delay in the tracking system, I havnt taken the time to actually check to see if it updates automatically when I author a thread or if there actually is a delay.

Perhaps I will find something worthwhile enough to start a new thread tonight so I can test my hypothesis.

It will also go up if you use the alert feature..

I think it's because when you do an "alert", it opens a thread in the Mod's private bunker of threads that we peons never get to see.

I'll bet that forum is funny as hell though....

Yup, alerts do generate threads that are visible to staff only.

Any time the complaint or alert feature is used it counts as a post/thread creation.

Last week I could post thread!! I had over 22 posts

now I dont seem to be able to? I tried to post in the UFO forums and it said I needed 20 or more posts - but I had this last week! I posted my first thread then!!

I have some pictures I took of a UFO over the houses of parliament on Friday just gone..

whats happening?
