Well first of all I'm new to ATS although I've been reading the site for over 6 months now.
At first it was a little strange getting used to the format of it but it's a very good site.

Secondly, what I'm about to say is the God's honest truth. I don't lie and I'm far from crazy, I have never hallucinated, ever had a mental illness (no diss to people that have) or anything else along those lines.
I became a father for the first time 18months ago to my Son Leon and I swear on his life that what I'm about to say is the truth of my own experience.

It was december 2003 and back then lived in London, I'm from West Yorkshire but moved to London to experience new things on top of the fact that my Dad was a pr**k but I don't want to go into that.
My family has a business in Holmfirth which is a countryside village on the yorkshire/lancashire border, not far from the moors of Saddleworth.

I had come back from London to come and see my Mum, basically I was broke and needed to borrow a few £££ off her. My Mum always looked after me and she could afford to (not that I'm proud of that).
I got a National Express coach to the City of Wakefield then got a taxi from Wakefield to Holmfirth to the business where I thought my Mum was.

On the way over in the taxi (which is going over countryside roads) I saw in the sky 3 stars, that were bigger than normal stars, and the fact that they were moving at a great speed was the reason they stood out.
I pointed this out to the taxi driver who saw them also, this carried on all the way to Holmfirth and when we both realised something was not right we both went quiet and the driver drove faster.
It was no planes, or stars, they just don't move like that in the sky!
We got to Holmfirth and he left, I went to see my Mum and she was not there. Little did I know that she had gone on holiday and I never even knew.
I know I should of called before I set off but if I had of done and said I was coming up to borrow some money she would of told me to bollo*! lol.

A girl that I've known for a long time was working, told me they had gone away and I was screwed as I'd spent what money I had left on getting there from London! I explained to her I had no money left and no where to stay and she was like 'not my problem'
The girl was a real kiss arse to my Dad, anyways I had an argument with her and stormed off.
Whilst I was there the lights were still in the sky and then they went away.

This part is the most trippy of the whole experience.
I stomed off and walked up a footpath off the road and up into the hills, I had no idea where I was going and I was young and full of silly anger.
I saw the most trippy thing I could ever imagine, in the distance I saw some sort of craft coming over the valley at a low altitude, it had lights on it and was the shape of an oblong.
It came right towards me and went straight over the top of where I was stood at most 100ft above my head.
It was something that I've never seen in my life, it was also dead silent. Not a single noise could be heard from it.
At the rear were all I can describe as some sort of jet engine? ie fire coming out of the back of it.
As it came closer to me I was amazed, I was that amazed I actually started waving my arms at it lol.
It passed over the top of me at such a slow speed and went over the hills and valley until out of my sight.
The other thing that made this whole thing trippy was that the moon seemed huge and orange colour, and by saying huge I mean totally out of anything normal like it was close enough to touch?! (I know that sounds weird and no I couldn't touch it but I'm just trying to explain).
I did not have a camera phone back then so could not record any images, even if I had I think I'd of forgotten to because I was so amazed with what had happened.

I called my friend and asked him to pick me up and if I could stay with him for the night, he came and I went to his and told him what had happened.
I went back to London a few days later.

When my Mum got back from holiday I explained to her what had happened, she then told me that a guy had been in the restaurant on his own and my Mum got talking to him as he was asking questions about the area.,
He told her that there had been UFO sightings and he was investigating them.
I wasn't the only person that saw something around that time, this is a link to the local news story.Examiner

I had not been drinking that night, I don't take drugs (again no diss to those that do).
I think about it now and again and wish I could see the same again, it was a once in a lifetime thing.
There are no military bases around here, and why fly something like that so low.
It was out of this World, the whole thing was.

I'm sorry for the long post but I wanted to get everything straight first off.
I was always a sceptic of things like this until I saw it for myself.
I've learnt over time that you have to be carefull of who I tell the story to as the first natural reaction of most people is *smirk* but I understand why.

I believe you man. Let it open your mind. The debate between believers and debunkers is endless and quite silly. It is the reason I joined this site, as I too have had many experiences. Funny thing is, if you got a video all it would do is cause people to fight and argue and youd just keep answering that its real and all that jazz. After having a sighting myself after being a hardcore skeptic, it really opened my eyes to say the least. It really made me view videos and peoples stories totally differently. yeah there are some hoaxers out there, but cmon. This phenomenon has been written about for ages, cave drawings, hundreds upon hundreds of credible people from the government telling us this, people from all walks of life reporting abductions, astronauts who have been in space etc. Once you see the other side and how real this is, youll wonder how people still debate it. Like, yeah, everyones sitting home photoshopping little lights and triangles into photos. Oh yeah, Victors area 51 interview was real. Im done ranting about this in every thread now, but yeah man, its a very humbling experience. We have been kept in the dark all our lives, almost everything we know is a lie. Alien life exists commonly.

Thanks
it was something else and something I'll never forget for the rest of my life.
I had no fear whatsover when it happened, I think the taxi driver wasn't too happy with what he saw but he wasn't around for the main part!
It was pure amazement, and it answered my own question that everything is not just in black and white.
There is a whole picture still to be explored, and your lucky if you get to see it

Im also in yorkshire, got something to say- here goes-

Basically I was on my way to my grandmas house at 8pm at night on the 4thoct2009, drove onto the drive way got out to see an object circling the village over the M18 motorway. It was like a ball which looked asthough it was on fire and looked asthough it was dropping hot molten blobs! wierd yes but i dont know how else to describe it. It was bright yellow in colour and my brother and I watched it slowly circle for around 10-15 minutes. Its funny because I ran inside to tell my grandma what i was seeing and she instantly said ive seen it and she had been apparently watching it half an hour before we got there. Then the object began to elevate in height asthough it had some sort of propulsion system and as got higher it turned red.

We both tracked the red object climb in altitude to the point where it looked like a little red dot! then all i can describe it as were multiple random small red dots lit up asthough the object we tracked was being directed to that area by something, and we were right because the lights went out and it presented a disc shaped object which must have been huge becuase it was high up. The disc began to move across the sky over the m18 motorway and almost looked unstable in a wobbly effect as it moved, it dissapeared then re appeared and looked like it was on its side then became flat again. ill describe the disc it almost looked a gun metal grey that seemed to contrast in the nights sky you could see it clearly it didnt shine it looked really blurry!

It went over the motorway and never came back - 5 to 10 minutes later a military helicopter which was a merlin cirlced the village for about a few minutes then went off in the direction where object went.. they must have known something was there ? on radar ?

Its either advanced craft that we have which is under wraps or ET life ... and we are lucky to have seen it i wish i could transfer the images in my brain to video so you could all see what i actually saw that night.. you'd be freaked out!

I know they put alot of rubbish on here but if you read this you'll be reading something that really happened to us without having any video or photo evidance thats the best description i could give someone.

Cheers

L n D

I think Yorkshire is a bit of a hot spot for sightings, there has been so many.
It's difficult to explain to people as it annoys you (well it does me) when people smirk so I've gone past trying now and keep it to myself!
My Mrs believes me, as does my Mum and I guess a few people on here will too as it's the place to come with these sorts of experiences.
It's a stange feeling isn't it? I've tried to rationalize it and say it was new technology but what about the moon that I saw? what about the lights that were so high up in the sky and moved so fast..
Why would top secret equipment be flown only 100ft over populated areas?! they wouldn't, and like your experience anything that we have on this planet does not match what we saw.
To me it has cast a doubt over everything we are told and know, it throws science and maybe even religion out of the window.
I reside up here now, hopefully one day I'll see something like that again but somehow I think it was a once in a lifetime thing as probably yours will be.

Well here I am, and I read your story and it was told very honestly and straight forward. I lived in Munford, England, for a year and my granddaughter, who is now a paratrooper in Army, was born in Danoon Scotland. I had meet some people in Danoon that had UFO experiences and also in Munford they told my how one day was an entire circle of UFO's encompassing Munford and Mendenhall Air Force Base. I was so glad to hear that all the things about Bentwood was finially released. Now see we have things in commond, and there is no reason to attack each other. You told a personal story about yourself and so did I. We both expect to be treated with respect even if one does not believe it.

I rather hear stories like this than sit through questionable videos. C'mon, the guy is swearing on the life of his son!! That has alot of merit. I believe you sir. I'd like to hear more stories come from persons on this site.

Thanks
and if people knew how much I loved him, nobody would doubt me.
Was the strangest experience of my life, I really wish it could happen again and I could take an image of it.
But then again then you are prone to being shot down!
Everything that I post is the truth, I just wanted to share with others what happened.
I know I'm not crazy, I can't speak for anyone else!
The 2 most strangest things that I've ever seen I've detailed on this site.
At this point I have nothing more to offer, hopefully one day maybe I'll get to add another but for now this is me.

I've tried to research this and I've heard a few times of the moon being an orange colour and huge, it was out of this World. I've thought and thought and maybe I saw some sort of other dimension?
I don't know, but it would be good to hear from other people who are as honest as I am to hear what they have to say.

Coolottie, no offence but you are the one making claims that

You are a dyslexic 64 year old woman, that worked for NASA and stopped a major terrorist attack against the USA and decided to tell a radio phone chat about it which you were arrested for and thrown in jail for 2 1/2 years?! And it ruined your career?
I could pull up ALL of your posts that SHOW you are chatting BS but to be honest I CBA.
It goes with the site I guess, like I said before.
So please don't talk to me anymore, and I won't you because no I don't believe you and I think you are either a WUM or you have metal health problems.
You don't even need to leave this site to just look back at your previous posts and they all just don't add up.

Thanks anyway.
