There is actually a more solid and simple proof about it being a hoax. I don't remember the user who pointed it out unfortunately so I can't give him credit but if you watch the first, original video in full screen, at around 0:58 (right after the flash) you'll see that the left part of the screen is mirrored. I mean, the "city" just repeat itself but mirrored. This means that the software they've used to fake this has mirrored the image they used as a background because the shake effect they've used was going further left than the size of the original image.

Thanks for bringing up this mirrored image anomaly in the first video. The previous thread got so big it was lost within its pages. I looked through some daylight photos over Armon Hantziv and found this nice panoramic view. You can clearly see there is no symmetrical buildings and roadways making this mirrored lighting effect.
