Pole shift does not mean that the world turns upside down and the physical poles are then opposite to what they were. There will be no sloshing of the oceans as if they had been given a huge heave-ho.

The only thing that shifts is the magnetic fields; not the whole earth itself. There may be some consequences coming out of that, but not the catastophies you seem to believe.

I suppose that I could lose all future credibility even replying to this post, but you have to start somewhere I guess. It's all in good fun anyways.

As others have already stated, there is no way to predict a geographical pole shift (at least not pin-pointing to one day). The only way this could be possible is if the shift is already under way (which would be easily measurable) and accelerating.

I am 99.9999% sure that this will not occur (at least not on 15 March 2011). The good news is that if it does, no one will be able to say "I told you so!".

Lastly, I would like to point out that we have just witnessed a successful type of social engineering. And it is this very behavior that many seek to profit from.

There is a difference between a magnetic pole shift and a physical pole shift. The physical pole shift is meant to happen, according to those that believe so, by the passing of a body in space, where the pole of that body repels the pole of the earth i.e. north pole of earth repelled by north pole of body. This repel causes the physical crust of the earth to displace and shift. The earths crust floats on magma, the theory is totally realistic and could occur, the question is, whether there is a large body heading towards earth or not that could do this.

A megnetic shift is simply a reversal of the polarity of the earth. I believe these videos and TPTB seem to be under the impression that its a physical shift that will occur.

If this aint all a big hoax that is...

I just hate to see people getting caught up with hoaxes. And then when they do, I hate to see them get stuck within them (due to their pride of being wrong or... because they really want the hoax to be real. I was being called a 'hater' by the OP in the other thread because I was showing him how this is a sham.

If I am the 'hater' then who are the people wanting this to happen, lovers of life?

I get moments away from leaving too. This is a great forum but the immaturity is overwhelming at times. Is there an age limit to join (not that anyone can prove your age)?
Maybe there should be an age cap to stay then! Cause my patience seems to run short as I get older especially dealing with ATS toddlers.

Its seems very strange that this thread is being allowed to continue.

There is already a 67page thread covering all this material.

I would be grateful if a MOD could clarify why this is.

I could write a private message to a Mod but they are generally ignored or no feedback is provided. This leaves the member wondering what if anything is happening. Its a very poor system.

I am not a scientist but aren't we still talking about magnetism? Magnets repell each other in the required orientation. So to me it is still only the field that will flip; even if another planet comes close enough to us. On the other hand, a strong gravitational effect from a planet coming close could mess with us physically and mess up our orbit, orientation or slant and on and on.

As far as this thread goes, well the old guy might have been taken in for questioning for good reason -- spreading false information to incite fear.

Those are not the same person, and that's coming from a professional photog and graphic artist.

On Dec 12 2010 Rockwell's page about supplying the government with the CommuniCase Technology mentioned in this video was removed. By whom, I do not know, but the YouTube video that was embedded has also been removed. I have a cached copy of the page and it says that the intended use for this equipment is to enable military personnel, broadcasters, and EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDERS to easily interchange components in the field. hmmm
