Well, I live a satisfied life that is far from mundane. My heart is not filled with hatred, maybe it is sometimes occupied with some dislike, but not hate. Hate is a strong word. I don't speak for anyone but myself and I mean no disrespect at all, but I know for myself and alot of other people I know are tired of the grandiose American attitude that some of you have. Like I said, some. Some of us view Americans as spoiled brats who cry too much and won't grow up.

Its not like I don't know my government does some very crappy things. I'm fully aware of that. It's just the fact that noone elses government is any better. Yet people sit back and point their fingers and say "bad American" like it's something 'we the people' can actually fix. Without a WHOLE bunch of Americans standing up at once and saying "enough is enough" things will not change.

Is having a little pride for a place you call your home a bad thing? I don't believe it is. That's why I take it to heart when I see some idiot bashing Americans, the citizens, for something that they damn well know can't be fixed without a national uprising. It's even worse when it's an American bashing Americans. I guess some people just need to be kicked in the ass a few times.

Take a page out of the Egyptian's book and use social networks to organize. Or, you know, follow Gandhi's famous quote and "be the change you want to see in the world." As far as I'm concerned the public is just as responsible for the reputation as the government seeing as you vote them in. You seem to think your government is failing, why don't you run for office like others have when they don't like the state of affairs.

To assume it requires some insane amount of brain power is the idiotic part. Or maybe it's because it requires effort.

Yea that's it I just don't want to put out any effort. Please don't act like you know anything about me. You see some stereotypical American on tv and you assume you know them all? Last time I checked America was made up of every different type of human from around the planet. I guess stereotypes are easier to use than actually knowing something about someone.

In my experience with activism most of the moaners are the ones who when it comes time to rally the support are the ones oddly absent from the events and protests. Talk the talk if you can walk the walk.

America has earned it's current reputation and it's going to have to work towards a better one. There's no circumventing it.

Yeah, I am an activist. I've participated in anti-Gordon Campbell protests since his election in 2001 and his subsequent cuts to education, social programs and our healthcare. I protested and participated in rallies against the Vancouver Olympics when they were here and the recent unfair combining of our PST and GST into a new tax without the approval of the province. In my college I was apart of the Students - Against - War group. I am currently in charge of the Pride Society for my college which includes organizing rallies and events like the current blood ban on healthy blood from gay donors and anti-discrimination campaigns.

And finally, this year I'm actually running to be apart of the student government because, gasp, I don't like how the last group ran it so I'm going to be the change I want to see.

Edited to add: In 2001 America had the support and sympathy of almost every country on the planet but less than 2 years later lost it. It can be fixed, and hope is fine, but hope doesn't really do anything.

You may have to find something to incite people like the Wikileaks cables on Tunisia and Egypt to get people actually willing to do anything. I honestly don't think it would take much, I think a lot of people around the world are looking to the protesting countries going "if they can do it, why can't we?"

I'll even give you that most American-bashing is towards the people but based on the government image.

OP - Your original reason for posting this thread has been flooding my head for as long as I can rem and I am one that is willing to take the lead if in deed there are those that will follow. Even if it means becoming a martyr for this cause which is an extremely high possibility. What is a life lived if your decedents can have no benefit from your hard work. I am one who believes in a great deal of possible emerging threats in our near future yet I don’t claim to know any one of them to be truth. Just the FACT that something might happen and majorities will hate it or be manipulated or paid to accept it. What it is that threatens us maybe big and bad but either it be our own government, terrorist, other worldly threats or natural disasters brought on by our own doing etc...doesn’t matter in the least bit because the solution for all of them would be the same simple thing. Would you be willing to die for the freedom of your race because that is what you will be facing by moving forward with this. I damn sure am. Make the decision to do what some have already pieced together. Join together with like minded people, get on the same damn page universally without worrying about the specifics, train ourselves to defend ourselves against multiple enemies with "a soldier of peace mindstate" in our hearts, stock pile food and grow our own on land that we bought as a unit, grow in numbers as fast as we can, and use our governments tactics that they use on us everyday right back against them. We simply stay as secretive as possible, growing our numbers everyday by recruitment, train to defend, and make them look over here when we are actually trying to do THIS over here. We might be way off base in our assumption and theories but one thing is for certain. Something shady is going on that we all will feel the sting from shortly or our children will or their children so joining together is the only right way to get ready for anything. "get it" ;-) Words, words, words, are where it always stops. Even in this thread! Come on! right now! Time is def not on our side. If we do nothing it is only ourselves to blame. We are all humans so can we really blame whoever is at fault for finding a way to control the world and easily get away with it. Temptations and addiction are a btch and we all have fallen at one point or another in some form. We have ideas to change our government but that is, at this stage, impossible. Other super power countries cant even stand up to them and they have bombs. If they want something to happen they will just make it happen. PERIOD! Can you blame people for being afraid to die. The gdamn answer is YES we can. One life is and never will be more important then the survival and freedom of our race. Even with the motive of peace for our planet to drive us, there will never be a peaceful solution when the ones promoting the wars for profit are who we are up against and the ones that are at fault. The lengths they are willing to go to get what they want are in the category of evil and they will put up a fight, in secret to those still walking around thinking they are free for the most part. Lazy children are what inhabit this earth for the most part not willing to take a moment to really think about what they hold as truth or if it is even real. What else can we expect from our government if the worst we can do is hold signs and walk around screaming making fools of ourselves only to go back the next day and punch the tax clock!. Yes it has made a difference in the past but that’s before the powers that be have had all this time of blissful ignorance to get better at countering any effort with their "look at this fake situation here so I can do this over here without you noticing, efforts" (that is never provable so we can never know which one is the faker and is why it works every time making us just argue over who is more right than whom! Well the difference will begin with me and end with you. I care about everyone so much so that I feel crazy sometimes for feeling this way. Do you really deserve someone who is willing to put his neck on the big spy on us screen to stop what can only be described as inevitable full blown re-slavery on a global scale. I don't care about any of the gdman protests that have happened for the same reason the government allows them to go on in the first place. If there was any real threat that was presented against our god complexed governments' unsolicited decisions then they would right away deem it terrorism and poof they are gone or replaced with their own allies to redirect the effort..I do care about the people involved and wish them to seek me out bc I am desperately seeking all of them. The ones fighting the good fight will eventually join us even the ones in the government. Those few fight from within and remain silient for lack of allies on the other side.
We need to train and we need to train now. We don't need to stir the waters because we'll only sink in with the force of gravity being to many countering statements thinning out the complexity of the situation forcing it down into only a two sided choice. them or us. When its 50/50 the wrong side will still get too many allies, and in this case the ones that choose the wrong side are exactly the type of people the wrong side thrives on "basically the walking dead". Here's the main statement that will put me on their radar but it has to be said just once and I am willing to stand up if it will mean some of you will take the lead when I am silenced. *If we band together and grow our numbers by preaching the truth and possible dangers, all the while train to successfully defend ourselves no matter the invader. Grow our own food and support our own community with no assistance from outside of our own, then eventually we will out number the reason we were forced to originate in the first place ready to fight for real freedom for all with other groups we get started all over the world to do the same thing. Then is when we will have a voice, then is when one person doesn’t have to make a change by themselves, then is when we are free. How long will this take? Good question. Have you decided to contact me yet? If not then it will take that much longer and when something actually throws the gauntlet all the way down you will remmember your choice and wish that your fear wasnt sharded by many so we might be large enough to save you and your family even though you wouldnt really deserve it. Truth is always nice!. Fear is never a good excuse and if you feel differently then you are also a liar beliving your own lies. There is hope and great deal of it plus it grows faster when we act together! Check the ones who want our freedom now. I will not hide! I will not run! I will stand for what is right! I will give my life if that’s what it takes. I will stand and do this everyday and we can even make it a smooth transition to avoid a sudden lifestyle shock.
