This is one of the reasons why I moved from the UK. Not because I am not proud to be British. I am proud.
However, I am not proud of the UK Government.
The UK tax payer has forked out 10 million to fund this visit and now this comes along?
ALL governments are corrupt. We are taxed to death and taxed when we die. I truly wish there was a way out of this.

What are you complaining about??
Us poor Aussie Tax Payers had to pay more than that to get Oprah here for a week..
Heck, I'd be happy to pay more if she stayed away..

Do not blame you one bit, lol.

On topic, security would have to be massive for a pope visit, and all the people riding the wave.

Yeah but it's not like the Catholic church is short a dollar..
Why should ALL tax payers foot the bill for a religious leader.??

WOW! Pedophilia is expensive these days... Sorry, I couldn't resist. What ever happened with the money laundering investigation into the Vatican? It was all over the news for a while and then disappeared completely.

Ministers,

Replace that aid money out of your own greedy pockets.

Some stupid old man visited and took up millions of aid money?

Get real.

Oprah and the Pope enjoying on the backs of taxpayers. I don't think that's right considering she makes more than the Pope or the taxpayers. She is morally bankrupt to take what doesn't belong to her.

Well, if there's anything I learned from James Bond, whenever a lot of cash is exchanged, extortion and sex is involved.

Here is a good idea!

Oprah and the pope could elope!

Then all the money in the world could vanish!
