open your internet security like Avast, Norton, etc... (Do Not mess with your Browsers ie; IE8 Google Chrome, FF, etc...)and block cdn.assets.craveonline.com and if you want block ad.turn.com also.
Works great just refresh your page no problem

For the Opera Browser:

TOOLS > PREFERENCES > ADVANCED > CONTENT > BLOCKED CONTENT......ADD:

add this: ad.turn.com

Then Close the box, refresh the page.

Blocking ads is against the T&C and is something that staff do not tolerate.

Then perhaps that particular one needs to be examined as it Locks up browsers for about 20 seconds.

It would seem that if its reading a cookie on our hard drives, then thats considered Tracking. And I block all trackers.

Google AdSense tracks your internet usage to provide "Targetted" ads to everybody who reads ATS. I don't think it's something that is under our control specifically, but again it's being looked into.

The only Google scripts I ever see cause noticeable page load "lag", is google-analytics. But what I refer to, is these 3rd party sites reading cookies before allowing pages to load...to many of them and the page load time slows right down.

To take it one step further. I see a lot of people on here asking "What can I do to fix this country", myself included. I think one thing that could be done is being more selective about whose ads get promoted on this site. For instance, the Fifth Third and a big pharma ads are two that I recall seeing in the last several minutes. To me, having ads such as this is kind of like sleeping with the enemy and promoting their cause over top of ours.
