Hi - I don't think the camera panning away is a sign of anything other than his arm aching or him simply moving...if you watch the vid you will see how far he has zoomed in, only a slight movement at this res would be hard steady IMO

As far as I know he was neither sick of filming it nor did his battery run out..I will ask him abut this though as you raise good points and will see if there is any more footage

not sure what you expect here....crying? hysteria?...I think that quite possibly he just didn't want to talk all over it with pointless 'what the *****s' and the rest of it...hey, were all different and respond to things in different ways...who knows

Also I can assure you this isn't a fake, or an attempt to create a hoax thread or video. That doesn't mean it isnt possible to figure out what it is and im not trying to convince anyone were being invaded by aliens...(infact im not even saying it is alien, I just want to know what it is) it just means he didn't intentionally shoot this with the aim of starting a hoax, were grownups and way too busy for that, we'll leave that to the kids. I suppose at worst it could be a light on a hill and therefore a mistake or a case of mistaken identity, but if you look at the angle he is filming at it's pretty steep/high in the sky and as far as I know they don't have mountains in cheltenham (im going to look like a right **** if it turns out to be a house on a hill :lol...I have asked him to take a few shots in the day time to clear this up...thanks for the post

i hope your friend has the time to take some daytime pics
has he ever seen anything similar in the same area before or since that night

hey - i too am a skeptical believer which is why i posted this, as it came from someone I know...therefore is impossible for me to do the usual 'well that could be faked...I have no idea who filmed it' thing...in other words for me the usual questions have been answered.

Yeah he is going to take some more photo's today in the light and supply all info requested so far, which we will try to do whenever it is asked for. And interestingly (weardly) he said they were out again last night but he didn't have his camera on him although he did send some rather un-descriptive iphone shot's over and a vid but as you can imagine they really are not very good...also interestingly I have just been contacted by the local paper (cheltenham echo), they want to do piece on it...- if they do I'll be sure to post here

I'll try and post more later...this is taking up far too much of my time better get back to the real world!

While fully understanding that you have a life to live in amongst your interest in this video and its content, I must add my voice to those who have requested day time/ more shots of the area. I am deeply interested to see what comes of this , because it seems to me that far too few of the videos we have had here over the last few months have been remotely credible in terms of thier authenticity , but this one seems legit at the very least.
It might not seem a big deal to some, but I prefer content on the site to be at least genuine, even if it turns out to be a street lamp, or a burning RC helicopter, or a chinese lantern (which are thrice cursed menaces which I would personaly like to beat to scraps with an industrial food whisk) , so when something which appears legitimate appears on the site, my interest tends to spike !

ok so I have uploaded another 2 videos sent to me today, their not as good but show another one next to it.

Now I know this is far from conclusive but I was asked to post more so am...The photo's will prove there is no hill there so should clear that one up.

One of the comments on one of the youtube clips is:

"we saw similar things down in dorset same night i put a video of one object on here it was flashing all different colours was deffinately not a star planet or helicopter! i've been seeing things in the skies for the past year and a half in the uk new zealand and australia that i cant make sense of theres deffinately something going on .... peace bro x"

My first thought was that it looks like a satellite reflecting sun or moon light. Looks somewhat like the ISS but the ISS isn't in a geosynchronous orbit so that can't be it. Interesting footage.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen a very similar sort of video on here before that was proven to be a star, the weird flashing and light changing is caused by the atmosphere. Have you checked on any 'star positions' software?

funny you should say that, the other chap that was there had some ap on his phone that they chacked and apparently they weren't stars that were recognised by his software, also would a small digital camera be able to zoom in and get detail from a star?

Well I've got some really good pictures of Venus and Mars using just a bog standard digital camera so it is possible, theres a free downloadable star/planet charting software on the internet that lots of people on here use (I want to call it starillium but that's not right...) that might be more reliable than a phone app one? I'll see if I can find the name a sec brb


Ok its called Stellarium.... If you can get his co-ordinates, time and the direction he was facing this would at least rule in or out the star/planet theory.

I actually saw this in staffordhire last night at 9.30pm, it came from the west way where the other planes came from but I did already see a plane come over first and it made the plane noise then that thing came over very slowly normal and it made no sound and it had weird lights at the bottom it was very strange,,,,,,,

so its travelled a way

it is the exact same thing i saw op wow

it looked triangluar underneath, had about 4 lights one very bright one at the front and some very bright ones at the bottom of it, it made no noise whatsoever and it flew quite low just lower than a plane that had already travelled over,

I saw it at first when I was walking up the hill it looked like a very bright star then I stood there and waited for it because it seemed like it was moving and it was, I saw underneath the thing head on, it was no plane whatever it was, was too military looking like a drone

Just looks like the reflection of a flash light in a window at night .. with someone taking the flash light back and forth ..

the first video is exactly of what I saw, I only saw one though, so I wonder how the op saw 100 of them

Why isn't this getting more attention then the "UFO over jerusalum temple thread" haha it seems way more legit?

It was filmed from outside, not from behind a window/indoors, and as I have explained I have no reason o rneed to fake anything, wheres the fun in that

in my opinion it is, as I have stated I have no reason to fake, make a viral or a hoax thread..pointless and childish imo (unless I was about to launch a film about aliens invading Cheltenham :lol...im about to upload some photo's taken this evening before the sun went down...brb

wow interesting you saw the same thing...

As I said in the op the guy who filmed this went up onto a nearby hill and said he saw loads more

e2a: lets forget about that for now though eh as we have no evidence for that right now

yeah dude. people in the field of the paranormal and are serious about it know the evils of hoaxery, and would never stoop to such a level to discredit a field they hold so dear. It's a shame to see famous hoaxers - people actually making money off of discrediting an otherwise serious subject.
