Hello fellow ATS'ers,

I recently got introduced to the show no ordinary family (it's a really neat show for those who haven't yet watched it), and was wondering if there was such a thing in nature surrounding us as a plant which can give human beings super-powers.

If not super-powers, are there plants that could enhance human development or even evolution to increase brain capacity, health and overall well-being?

Any botanists in the house who could provide some expert insight into this magnificent world?

"Plants are a special group of animals which are known as plants. They are characterized by their green color, lack of movement and plant-like appearance. Plants are the natural enemy of animals. Proof of plants' evil intent can be seen in various historical Japanese drawings which show plants with tendrils using them on various orifices of young girls, who are usually dressed in schoolgirl outfits. Also they directed "Honey".
Plants are the ultimate masters of deception. It is a proven fact by the top bull# scientists of the country of Blarklarkia that Plants are actually the evil minions of Satan. Every spore, seed, and pollen grain you inhale makes you .00001% more evil. This explains the considerable evil of gays, who do almost nothing but cavort with flowers.
The fridge (derived from the Latin frigid, meaning cold as), is a member of the appliance family. Once a proud and independent species, fridges now live in captivity under the enslavement of humans.
Typically, a modern domesticated fridge (in contrast to wild, natural fridges which are a dying species today) is found in hybrid form with the freezer. These "fridge/freezer units" are typically around five feet tall, and white - though some cooler variants have stainless steel coatings. The unit is generally a rectangular prism, as other variants on the shape have proved impractical - though rounded edges have been a welcome improvement for humans who didn't much like being cut whenever they opened their fridge. The typical fridge sits on a quartet of rubber seals mounted on each corner on the base - giving outstanding levels of mechanical grip particularly on tiled and wooden floors. A modern fridge's demeanor is typically inanimate, but often make quiet droning noises, longing for their glorious past to return."

There are a class of drugs often described as "smart drugs" or nootropics. It is likely that these drugs, or their analogues, exist in the plant kingdom.

You have piqued my interest in this topic, I will post later if I find any good links.

I was hoping this thread was going to be about a news program I saw yesterday.

Intelligent plants are being developed to detect weapons and explosives. I don't know how they do it. I only saw a small portion of the program. They stated many advantages of plants doing this work over dogs who they say are easily distracted...not so the plants.

It was presumed one day in the future we will be passing through explosive detecting "gardens" in the airports on our way to flights. It was pretty incredible, so who knows? You might be right. Up until yesterday I probably would have been more skeptical.

There are many plants all over the world that have various effects on the human body, many 'power plants' which I prefer to call "teacher plants" can vary from highly hallucinogenic to mildly potent in affecting your consciousness.

Plants of this nature will offer you another perspective, to gaze with back towards your original perception. Together you move forward and outward in awareness and understanding all that is.

As far as super powers, I would say that meditating with plants has assisted in my spiritual growth, understanding of my greater self and the integration of life's lessons without as much resistance to change. A life time of this practice would make you a very clear conduit for your higher self and the movement of spirit.

Even eating ginger during meditation, and observing your body, observing your mind, and being aware of the spirit of the plant as it comes to you - can have dramatic results.

Plants are one of our greatest allies on this earth, they are worthy of great respect.

Nope. It's just a TV show. There are no plants that provide super powers that I am aware of... but I think you knew that already.

If not super-powers, are there plants that could enhance human development or even evolution to increase brain capacity, health and overall well-being?

Eat some lettuce and report back in a few weeks.

Yes and to the point that seems unbelievable. The connection between human development and plants is an end product beyond imagination.

Let me introduce you to Terence McKenna If you have not yet heard of him.

There are scores of video lectures and reading material of and by Terence McKenna if you find any of this interesting.

yeah Mckenna believed that certain mushrooms actually transformed us into human beings in the 1st place

The Stoned Ape Hypothesis of Human Evolution

link to one of his books to start you off: nndmt.com...
if the link doesn't work just google: terence mckenna mushroom quotes

here's a relevant quote:

Raise a Ripple
It is now very clear that techniques of machine-human interfacing, pharmacology of the synthetic variety, all kinds of manipulative techniques, all kinds of data storage, imaging and retrieval techniques. All of this is coalescing toward the potential of a truly demonic or angelic kind of self-imaging of our culture... And the people who are on the demonic side are fully aware of this and hurrying full-tilt forward with their plans to capture everyone as a 100% believing consumer inside some kind of a beige furnished fascism that won't even raise a ripple.

heh heh Tsubaki-kun needs to stop watching too much Hentai
