After watching the news on the News Mix channel available through Directv it is blatantly apparent that this is what one would call 'State run TV'. Even on Google and Yahoo it seems that the news is very much like that seen and heard on 'State run TV'. Alternative news, with the exception of a few things, seems to be very much like 'State run TV' as well. Over the last three days the reports on TV have been showing the same 'news' over and over. They show the same special reports by panels of two, three, four, or five people over and over. It appears to be more a propaganda machine, than news.

There are many state run news services, some of them very good. BBC for example...

Of course it's a propaganda machine, that's why TPTB hate the internet. On the internet you can get the real news that somehow the MSM always seems to miss. Television is a tool to program people who are unaware. You might find the following thread interesting:

Oh yes. No bias at the BBC at all! No, none.

All news is biased news, it doesn't have to be state run for it to be biased. You want to eliminate bias then you need to look at the raw data, but even then you'd be drawing conclusions based on your own bias.

Yes, it’s beyond crystal clear our major news outlets are essentially a state-run machine. I openly make fun of people who watch cable, “news.” If I am at work, I still do this, but generally aim the attack at the news outlet rather than the person talking about it.

For people who have never seen, “OUTFOXED Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism,” this is some of the original footage.
