Upon closer scrutiny (sorry, was at work earlier) I can clearly see the distortion between the foreground objects (man, bush, wall) and the background lights of the city. IMO this looks like a hoax, and not even a good one. A good video editor is able to lock background motion to foreground objects.

My bad, sorry to jump the gun. My office computer's screen is not as clear as my home screen is.

After page 9, I had to skip ahead.
Mostly because i just found the (a?) second video.
Plus, there's soo many "experts" here its whacky.

This one is even better, even though shaky/wavy... lol
It does look like a shot taken at it, as seen in one of the nasa STS vids.
I dunno....

I am calling this one a hoax, like another person on here, I have a lot of experience using digital applications to do such things as adding special effects to videos, 3D and computer graphics and design.

If you look at the video at 0:21 seconds, the light that supposedly comes down, is identical in every aspect to the lights already present on the same horizon - look to the left of the light and you see the same exact light, pixel perfect in fact.

It is not hard to reproduce this video and I commend the author for copying the adjacent light so as to keep the appearance correct.

Once the video is filtered back down to the level of a youtube video it is hard to spot a fake but a fake this is.

If I was flying around in some kind of UFO the last thing I would do is stick a great big light bulb on it saying "HEY LOOK I AM HERE" if I want to observe the populace of this world.

yes it would create heat but not a sonic boom it still stands it would have to break the sound barrier therefore no sonic boom means it didnt break the sound barrier or alien tech may have a way round it either way you cant tell me how fast its going just by watching the video

this " thing " or unidentified flying object ( yes " unidentified !!! " UFO ... ) we speek about, is going up vertically and instantly at VERY VERY high speed, ever seen a plane going mach 1, look at some videos :
www.dailymotion.com...
well I think that thing goes more than mach 1 in a blink of the eye !!

you're all going on about the same thing and completely ignoring the possibility of extra-terrestrial technology being capable of avoiding laws of physics. They do just that by simply existing! These UFOs are poking their heads through a hole in space/time, that's why many times they are only seen as a ball of light, we're only seeing a fractionary aspect of the real "UFO" because it's primarily outside of our space/time. Read up about some space/time relativity and then ask yourself if space/time is the physical universe, what is time/space?

"Humans are so quick to think they know everything".

lol you said it!

Just like you think a sonic boom would occur.Again I said it sounds more like a whoosh then a boom.Like the air went through the ufo instead of bouncing off it,which would have slowed it down.hmm could be a secret to the workings of a ufo right there.

It wouldn't break the sound barrier if it wasn't a solid object. If it was just pure energy it could move about in our atmosphere without making any kind of disturbance.

Looks pretty real to me, but who knows what the reality of it really is.

look im not here to debunk i believe this could be real however i dont want people to presume i want facts so prove to me its gone past mach1, i dont think you can

yes, I cann't prove it's going faster than sound, but I am pretty sure it goes ....
so, ok, but anyway a normal plane would brake into pieces at that speed no ?? gravity you know ....
G - forces : from 0 to XXXXXXXXX mph. in a flash !? Kaput yeah !

Not sure if this was posted - Soooo many pages!

Found this video on another forum not long ago.

This is both video's split, to be viewed side by side, Two differents points of view of the same white Ufo Orb.
Screen becomes split at 0.16.

There is sound.Just not so good with the guy in back..but check out the video of the guy who was in front.

Turn this up all the way and listen!
www.youtube.com...

The sound would be much louder if the UFO had broken the sound barrier. The pressure that would create would have shaken the ground and probably shattered all the glass in every building in that city.

No it wouldnt, the object is too small to produce a boom as loud as shattering every window in an entire city, and depending on its shape (true shape) you cannot determine what boom it would have created unless you could test it properly.

Well this UFO has a mass of some sort. And it took of and accelerated many times the speed of sound. We should have heard a loud Bang. Or a loud cracking sound from the mass pushing through air. The same sound as lightning makes.

A UFO, that is perhaps extraterrestrial in origin, would not experience the same effects as our aircraft do. If a craft is capable of interstellar travel, it would not be subject to experiencing sonic booms or even air resistance, otherwise, interstellar travel would be impossible. It would be the same as assuming they are using gasoline to travel light year distances.

If this UFO is within our atmosphere as a mass of some sort. That mass would make one hell of a bang going from stationary to what ever speed it accelerated to, through our atmosphere.

The UFO has to move through our atmosphere.

The UFO is a mass in motion passing through air. "different gasses" That would make a sound no matter what it is.

I understand all of that loud and clear, but I think what I am trying to say is being misunderstood by a few. Under the assumption that a craft is of extraterrestrial origin, our laws of physics that we know today would immediately be flawed. Given that our physics is not as advanced as extraterrestrials, it is fair to assume their craft would not experience the same forces that our craft do, such as sonic booms. By what we know now, or at least according to mainstream science, the G forces alone should rip the craft to shreds, or at least kill the crew. Physics and science are always changing as we find out more and will continue to do so.

I agree that alien technology could create a flying object that could accelerate at this speed without being destroyed.

But it would still have to break the sound barrier when moving at this speed within our atmosphere. The UFO is within our atmosphere and is bound by its physical laws.

My god...why is it hard for you to understand that it MAY NOT apply to alien technology? There could be a million ways that we humans have NOT discovered yet on how to avoid the creation of a sonic boom. Its just rediculous to keep saying that just because they are in our atmosphere, they must make a sound and because our primitive understanding of the universe and its laws means a sonic boom is a dead certainty...science changes daily, try to be a step ahead of it, atleast in your imagination!!!

Why dont you read up on what our atmosphere is made up of from ground up.

The massive friction of different gasses this UFO have to pass through with its acceleration "speed" is beyond our understanding. Moving that volume of air to be able to accelerate at that speed would surly make some noise.

Don't you understand that?

Well this UFO can not be pure energy without some sort of mass. If so we wouldn't have been able to see it.

And it would be able to produce light.

Light flies by you every second, much faster then sound, you can see it.. know it... do you hear it?

Debunking unknown event/object because of todays knowledge would not allow it, is what kept the world flat for ages.

anyway, if it is a hoax it is very well done !!! chapeau Monsieur ou Madame !!
but if it is real then we have here a fantastic event happening that we really can not explain ...
that is the most terrible thing : we do not understand AND I WANT TO UNDERSTAND DAMNED !!!!!

Don't forget that this UFO is producing its own light. Light does not appear out of nowhere there is always a source.

Geez, talk about a bigoted reply.

A couple of posts ago you wrote that all UFO sightings are fake. So in your world there is no problem, it's solved.

In my opinion it merely underscores your ignorance of the subject matter since the lack of a sonic boom is a recurring factor in even the best documented UFO events, in those instances where there should have been a "boom".

Perhaps some of the technology involved shares similarities with Myrabo's lightcraft. They're supposed to go 25x the speed of sound without a sonic boom, make of that what you will.

Well i am not here to be your hero. You people have seen to much science fiction and movie effects to understand any of this.
