Did you hear automatic gun fire in the background while they were interviewing the UN Foreign Policy Chief?

My mind is playing tricks on me. Been watching and listening the feed for almost 7 hours now.

Got it! Thanks! Is it possible that the 'army' has dressed in plain cloths and are throwing the molotov cocktails? This seems just to organized to be an uprising by pro-mubarak citizens.

Euronews: 4 Bombs just exploded on Tahirr Square, reporter says.

I see people throwing stones, hiding behind a tank. No Army there. It's very dark now and it seems to escalate in a total chaos situation. No more peace in this demonstration now, who wonders.

that was the cow ashton...EU foreign minister or whatever her title is...i heard that too...she dodged questions for 5 minutes then left when the AJ journalist tried to pin her down..

the irony is..she said that the people wishes should be listened to...when the EU has ignored 3 national NO votes about the very existence of the EU in the last 10 years....and...the EU also has a little bit of law in the lisbon treaty saying they can kill people involved in attempts to overthrow the EU government..

she is awful...and clearly didnt want to support the protestors too much at all but also didnt want to say she didnt in case they won..

typical dishonest politician

It's unbelievable to see how they throw 10000 of stones, it looks like it's raining stones. Thats a sick picture. But what will happen if Mubarak tries to stay? Will the people kill him or what?

Possible, they don't show the same "live" pictures as Euronews does. Do you see that tank?

So damn right on! ATS you need to reevaluate your priorities, and so do the people who don't think that world events unfolding right now won't effect YOUR reality! Get real for once in your pathetic self-absorbed lives!

Most people come here for entertainment, not for a dose of reality.... in fact for many, ATS is escapism.
That's why most entertain the most ludicrous theories.

It's not an ATS problem though, It's a human one.

People turn over the TV when the news is bad, pretend they don't see the homeless guy on the street..... change channel when an appeal for Africa comes on.... ya know.

ATS is no different.

People often avoid threads that they find upsetting or sad or that have no bearing on their lives.

While the Picture from Al Jazeera looks very calm, the picture from Euronews shows constant stones and Molotov cocktails raining and it looks like war.

The pic of the tank and the stones being thrown.... shots of the roof and people hurling rocks off it.

Molotov cocktails being thrown at tanks and at each other....

Just sheers madness...... almost a civil war, if it's not already.

The talking-heads on the major news channels here are just a bunch of stooges! This is not about an Islamic take over! The economic situation in Egypt had deteriorated to the point where the poor, the oppressed, could not take it anymore! The setup began on 9/11, with the 'government' claiming that Islamic 'terrorists' had attacked America, but any objective look at the evidence proves this is not the truth! The reporter on CNN just said that the reason people were revolting had to do with extreme poverty and oppression by supporters of Mubarak! Those who instigated 9/11 are MURDERERS, and they were not Islamic 'terrorists'! The Internet has allowed information to expose them for what they are. A poll was taken on a website I used to go on. The question asked was do you believe the goverments and the media explanation of events that occured on 9/11? Overwhelmingly, hundreds to a few, the responders said they did not believe the 'government' version! Something is very, very, rotten in DENMARK!

Woman talking now.....high on passion and anxiety.....says many unconscious, many broken arms and legs, many injured....

she also said many pro-Mubarak ARE police and security personnel causing much of the riots

Mubarak should be totally ashamed of himself as a President, an Egyptian, a man; what little crediablity and pride he had left is now GONE!
