Mmm hmm. Gotta watch closely who reports what and how. And ask yourself why.

Heartfelt support to the people of Egypt on a human level. Not so much to those who needed the Egyptian government out of the way as a means to their ends.

An interesting development....

CAIRO (AP) — Thousands of anti-government protesters wielding rocks, glass and sticks chased hundreds of riot police away from the main square in downtown Cairo and several of the policemen stripped off their uniforms and badges and joined the demonstrators.

An Associated Press reporter saw the protesters cheering the police who joined them and hoisting them on their shoulders in one of the many dramatic and chaotic scenes across Egypt on Friday.

After chasing the police, thousands of protesters were able to flood into the huge Tahrir Square downtown after being kept out most of the day by a very heavy police presence. Few police could be seen around the square after the confrontation.

Police station has been set on fire by protesters.

US still won't take a proper stance on this situation because it wants its puppet to stand. It seems US is only asking Cairo to make reform, instead of condemning Mubarak for his torturous and fascist methods of ruling and his refusal to listen to the Egyptian population's demands for Democracy.

If more police join the protesters, this will really change things.

To be really successful though, they need the support of the army.

The police are people. That some or even most police would do this shouldn't surprise anyone. Police-state people take note.

The U.S, should stay out if it. That being said, there a big assumption there to being with.

If mubarek loses control of the military that is the end. Will they fire on civilians becomes the question now.

No the US should help out the government.. They need to send a message the US will not allow a ally fall.

The last prayer for the night is being prayed right now, afterwards I suspect the protests will get worse. The broadcast is saying that there is no more police to be seen, only gun fire sounds, which could be live ammunition based on the journalist's experience.

An ally? Are you sure we currently view them as an ally? Are you sure that the U.S, (or more fairly and accurately factions thereof) is entirely happy with the sitting government in Egypt?

Is the US Egyptian people's ally or the Egyptian fascist dictatorial regime's ally?

I think the US is going to play a behind the scene's role with egypt and not make to much of a public spectacle out of it...

I wonder if they have upped their military presence by the pyramid's....maybe TPTB will take this opportunity when sh*t hit the fan, and i believe it will...To get ahold of whatever maybe inside of the alleged room's under the sphinx or inside chamber's the the Giza pyramid's...I know this is far out there, but i like to look at other angle's of thing's...

there was a thread a while ago...can't seem to find it...where they were doing ascavating around the sphinx or pyramids...i wonder what happened with that

It has been reported that gun shots are ringing out in the streets of Cario, None of the demonstraters i have seen have been armed with any more than pebbles, My thoughts are with them for sure.

live.reuters.com...

For the record I think that the UK & US goverments are watching and maybe thinking "Jeez do you think we should lower our food prices a tad?" this event could change the worlds thinking and i have nothing but respect for the protesters.

Thanks,
