Egypts parliamentary speaker has said that an important matter will be announced soon.

Could it be that Mubarak has decided to step down or the army is taking control?

In that case, I wonder what kind of regime change is about to occur. We could go either way in this circumstance, and that makes this a critical period in Egyptian history for sure.

On a side note, not matter how loud America screams at its governments, you would never see them do this. Good luck Egypt.

They mentioned on the news earlier that live rounds had been used, is there any confirmation of this?

Also the number of dead seems to vary from station to station and website to website.... I guess this is understandable.

We wont know for sure for some time I'm sure.

Even if all the intelligence agencies in the world joined together, it would still be impossible to create this type of uprising. I think this truly is a revolution of the people. I just hope they bring about real change and not just descend into looting.

Maybe I time traveled but I heard that he did already step down because the Army left him for the PEOPLE he lost the military support he needed.
The people won. I guess there has to be an official announcement.
