It's an iffy source and I've always doubted the idea.

I seriously doubt TPTB would leave an operation this important to Mossad. They were likely involved though.

As a matter of fact it is. More telling is the quote afterwards, which gives us insight izrael's motives: so the Americans would kill their enemies for them.
