What's with the Blue Ties?

If they'll all start wearing pink ties at the same time, now THAT would look suspicious.

I seem to remember Clinton wearing a blue tie for his presidential portrait. Then, he showed up to the ceremony wearing a blue tie.

In the UK I always thought it was tradition for the Tories to wear blue and the Labor party to wear red.

Hmm... maybe the world leaders pick their ties to reflect more about their own countries and their ideaologies than we all think. I think this would make a great research project. Conspiracy or not I got a feeling there is something behind the color a world leader picks to adorn himself with.

Clothing is a great way to make a subtle statement... what kind of statement is being made though? I can't wait to get some free time and start working on this.

One odd thing I just noticed is that on the ABOVETOPSECRET.com banner that appears so nicely above on the board, Tony Blair is wearing, you guessed it, a blue tie. However Bush is wearing a red tie on the one that appears on this board. (He's also wearing his trademark, I'm not wrong about world affairs face too) So thats at least one example of Bush not wearing a blue tie. Every time I see the man on TV tho, hes got a blue tie!

Look, dr_strangecraft, I am not saying that this is a for sure thing, it just that the three countries that seem to be �in bed together� �s, leaders are all wearing the same unconventional color. I think that if nothing else we should give credit to Lockheed for even noticing it. I certainly never would have. The fact that he stumbled on it by chance makes it even more credible in my book.

I used to have to go on contract interviews all the time for a computer company I used to work for, and if I wanted the position and wanted to be paid well for it, I always wore subtle status indicators. A Mont-Blonc pen, as gray pin-stripe suite, a tie with dark red in it, Italian shoes, a leather folder.

There are messages sent in the way one presents themselves, and in what one wears. If you don�t believe me, then ask the other guys out there that might have been better programmers but did not get jobs, because they had no understanding of presentation. The absent minded professor types.

I was watching MSNBC and a video clip showed Kerry and Edwards campaigning and guess what! They had blue ties on!

So I ran a Google Image search for "John Kerry" and more than half the pictures had him with a blue tie, about 1/4 of him with a red tie and 1/4 totally irrelevant.

On a similar search using the keywords "John Edwards" he is exactly the same about 1/2 blue tie, 1/4 red tie and 1/4 irrelevant

I am now researching the possibility that the photos you've linked were all taken by AMERICAN photographers, and that some of those pics have been DOCTORED and PHOTOSHOPPED to change the tie from red to blue!

The man's a closet conservative Anok! He ran as a consevative candidate during uni elections. Blue is his natural colour!

Not so long ago, it was red ties that were the target. Apparently (following the opinion of some hardcore conspiracy buffs), people wearing black suits with red ties were satanists!!!

Tony Blair wears a red tie most of the time to represent his party, labour. Michael Howard wears a blue tie to represent the Conservative party and Charles Kennedy wears a dark yellow tie to represent the Lib Dem's. No Conspiracy.

m0rbid is right, last time we had the red tie conspiracy and that was just plan stupid. If you believe there is some conspiracy about ties, then you should be locked up in a mental hospital
