A suspicious package triggered the evacuation of a downtown Dallas high-rise this morning. The Fed Ex package was found shortly after 9 a.m. in the basement of One Main Place in the 1200 block of Main Street. Police cordoned off the area, and traffic was blocked off on Main, as well as nearby Field and Elm streets. A bomb-sniffing dog assigned to the 33-story building alerted officials to the package, leading to the evacuation. A bomb squad was dispatched to the building. More details to come.
