well it looks like they have food being delivered....and gates will reopen as soon as????alls good then...

ummm some math here

1,400 people times 3 meals a day
times $5.00 a meal =

$21,000.00 a day for catering
and that would be on the low end.
anybody got any change for a tip ???

Like another member suggested, it might be due to a loss of a sensitive item, perhaps some private lost his rifle somewhere during a training excercize.

It happened to us while I was stationed in a training unit, we were locked down on the training side of post, I had to stay the night at work and help look for the weapon in a junk yard because a private said he throw his weapon away.

sensitive items could also be electronics like Night Vision goggles or devices, Classified information or mediums like a laptop.

Ofcourse there is always a chance that a chemical weapon is missing...that wouldn't be good but there is only so much you can do with a weapon like that.

boon call the base, ask for that chick who leaked the info , ask to speak to her on the phone see what the man tells you

Theyre certainly doing a good job of keeping the information from getting out, can you imagine the amount of i-phones, blackberrys and such that must be on that base. It has to be a little more serious than we're getting lead to believe.

Thats my point, just one leak.

Would they confiscate phones in a case like this?

Would they have all the staff in the same area to watch them closely?

Im not familiar with how a lock down works exactly, especially in these cases.

Or how many cell phones, iphones, blackberrys, ipads etc...that have been confiscated. Signals jammed. I am amazed nobody involved has piped up. (other than twitterchick) Options:

1. Missing vial of VX Nerve Gas.
2. Airborne pathogen accidentally released (faulty ventilation, equipment failure)
3. E.T. landing.

...I know, speculation...

it would depend on the reason for the lockdown, but i doubt they would treat there own personnel like that taking there phones. and i dont think that the twitter leak is real i wish someone would call and ask for the name of this chick and see if she is there lol so we can clear this up, i already called and asked about the lockdown and the prego chick someone elses turn lol

I just read every post all 24 pages, I like to deal with facts & not conjecture or hearsay so I would like to appeal to you all to remain calm.
As far as facts go, Mr Mask summed it up very well.
For everything else, the evidence backing up the claims are not that strong.

Just remember, there's the chance you're wrong about Ashley & her online identity.
I'm not doubting the removal or twitter & jewtube , but there could be many reasons for that.

Maybe the first step is to confirm if this Ashley you've found is working at the base & one of those in lockdown.
Then we would have a foundation of evidence to build upon.

@matrix, please don't phone back or encourage others to phone them.

They will have phone call after phone call from journalists etc and no matter how related you say you are to someone there you will not get ANY information out of them. They are trained for a reason.

edit on 27-1-2011 by JustCurious1 because: It wasn't clear enough for matrix

on this twitterleak did it say it was posted from a mobile? because if not that means she was at a desktop or does twitter not distinguish between the two?

Just an FYI.. as in the building my husband works in on base.... they confiscate the phones every day before you enter. Been doing that forever.

Theyre own staff would become suspects, if it were a missing VX vial, we all know how suspects are treat....even by theyre own.

If it was this XV chemical, and your suppose to
to get out of the building when spilt, don't you think we would see people
standing outside?
Unless this was something that can spread person to person.
Why keep them inside?

so unless that twitterchick found a live internet connec at the base and got around security that story is debunked, and if some agent got released , they wouldnt be bringing food in and flying prego chicks out, although the man said he had no idea about the prego lady, it would be interesting to find out if that man was stationed at the gate or from some operating room inside the base,
