So other than a bunch of rich men with one terrible drawing...do they have any evidence that flying saucers are extraterrestrial? If not than why is everyone getting worked up like this is some kind of proof that we are being visited by extraterrestrial beings?

Although I am not doubting there could be beings out there I am not going to jump on the idea because a bunch of rich guys sat behind a table discussing how they could profit from that kind of technology.

and please remember, any technology that is out there today was and is military and is about 30 years behind what the Powers that Be already have, which is probably a space fleet if you've followed any of John Lear's work.

There is a large amount of speculation that most if not all terrestrial religions are embellished and misunderstood accounts of early ET visitation; the visitors were remembered and worshipped as gods because of the helpful and logical messages that they preached as well as the technology they were capable of manufacturing (they could fly fffs).
There are also those that will have you believe the arabic language is extra terrestrial in origin.

The quote "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" rings true here, and certainly would have 2000 years ago.

I'm not saying I subscribe to these beliefs, however should ET life be proven true I think the referencing to the qur'an is easily justified. Food for thought.

I agree. These people aren't new names. And therefore what's happening here isn't new either. In fact, ufology is not new nor is skepticism of it. Of all cases in history only a couple are worth exploring. This indicates SOMETHING, but saying that something is ET is speculation at this point.

But... unless we're the oddballs in hte universe there must be some form of intelligent life somewhere. Don't tell me that the distances are too great. I don't buy that. That's the whole point behind Fermi's Paradox. That was over 50 years ago. He accounted for distance in his equations and still arrived at the conclusion that ET should be at our doorstep. In fact, ET should be everywhere. Distance is only a factor in the immediate, but since the earth and the greater universe are billions of years old than the immediately is irrelevant. ET should be here so where is ET.

WHERE is ET. The fact that we even have to look suggests we're indeed the cosmic oddballs. We're the fluke, the clubfooted messup. There's no ET here, we're alone. And now we have to find out how this happened. Could it be that this universe discourages intelligent life or that instead we're just in a random corner that by chance is void of intelligent life other than ourselves?

To me this awareness of us being alone is just as explosive as if ET were here. This is mind blowing stuff. It has the potential to shake our institutions to the ground. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

Years ago when I was working in the film Industry, my business partner and I were working on getting funding for an "Alien Abduction" movie and also at the time we were working on Chris Carters X-Files series in Vancouver. During that time for inspiration we were collecting UFO magazines at the time. In them I noticed a familiar person and name from growing up in Atlantic Canada in a city called Fredericton New Brunswick. For whatever reason, Stanton Friedman has chosen to make Fredericton his hometown. I always felt it was quite amazing this "World renowned expert on Area 51 and UFO, UFO technology, as well as being a Physicist.
I went back home for Christmas that year and had intended on trying to get in touch with Mr. Friedman for perhaps some information and ideas for our "Abduction" movie. Much to my surprise while at a computer store in my hometown, I walked out the door and pulling up to the sidewalk directly in front of me, well was none other than Mr. Stanton Friedman! What luck, probably the luckiest occurrence in my life! So, I introduced myself to him and told him that I worked on the X-Files in Vancouver and had even played an alien myself (Jose C|hung Vs. the Aliens) , which was a great "ice breaker" to talking to a man that's chased and researched Extraterrestrials most of his life.
I told him of our plans for the movie and asked if we could correspond over the next few months.
We had some correspondence back and forth, but unfortunately due my my health failing, the movie never got much past the script and story boarding... Anyhow, I saw Stantons name and thought I'd share this story.

As for the Thread subject, I hope we do end up meeting "E.T.s" I am sure they have a lot they can teach us, and yes, I can imagine the business and marketing possibilitys will become even more infinite than they are now!

I think it has more to do with the fact that we're a backwards people and are of no use to any ETs that are aware of us, socially or otherwise.

Re-read what I wrote.

If ETs didn't care we should still be able to detect them. Since we have failed to find them, it suggests to me that everything I said in my post is closer to the truth than the gobbledegook you find here in this conspiracy forums. You come here and you just get lost. Go to a university or an academic though and you come closer to the truth. The question of how we came to be and how we're alone like this is a big new thing that we've only begun to explore.
