I have yet to really make up my mind as too who I think did it, but why do you find it so far fetched that a Muslim would commit suicide in an airport? There have been Muslim suicide attacks, on other Muslims in smaller areas throughout Afghanistan and other areas, what's a few dozen dead Russians (keeping in mind there were over 100 injured who the bomber was probably hoping would have been deaths).

No, did you miss all the my previous posts? I have not yet seen enough information to truly make up my mind. Your post simply gave me the interpretation that you were in complete disbelief that a Muslim would commit the attack. I disagree on that point. I don't believe that is the case, I have not seen enough facts, but based on history I am not going to completely disregard the possibility. Could be, could not be the facts of the case will make it clear.

Why would they be on my suspect list? Because I don't automatically discredit government reports. Do I believe them all no, I critically look at them and make my decision. Just as I did with 9/11 and decided to support 9/11 truth as I didn't believe the official story from my first read through the commission report.

I don't understand why you are under the misguided opinion that I believe Muslims are hell bent on killing me and other westerners. I have no such opinion, zero, and I frequently support Muslims as I have many connections to many Muslims, I have no problem with them whatsoever and have more than a few in my family.

I don't know if this is what you mean, but your post reads like a Muslim has never committed a suicide attack. I do not believe this to be the case, sorry, I do not believe that every attack was fabricated. I do not believe that they occur every day, but there is a history there. You don't have to believe it, that's up to you. They are not the only group to have employed this tactic, the Japanese used it at Pearl Harbor, it is not exclusively Muslim but they have used it.

While I prefer to wait for the facts and form an opinion, you appear to be so biased you refuse to entertain the possibility based on nothing but emotion, there simply isn't enough information yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Chechen rebels, I also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. Unfortunately, at this point I do think they will be the object of Russian aggression regardless of their responsibility.

I fail to see how acts of terrorism actually help the Muslim community.

Almost on a daily basis, we read about Muslims acts of terrorism. Yet, it doesn't help their political causes. In my opinion, it hurts their perception in the eyes of many others.

There is a lot of propaganda out now about Islam being a religion of peace but it seems to me that in the world today most acts of terrorism are being committed by Muslims. They the parties that they have injured fight back and the Muslims claim there is a war against Islam.

It's time that terrorism against innocents stops.

I know, now I get a response about how the US is a terrorist because it uses the Predator drones and kills innocents. However, the US is at least trying to target combatants. It does make mistakes and sometimes innocent people are killed.

The Muslim terrorist usually target the innocent.

Opened a bag huh, not detonated the device. I wonder then IF the supposed suicide bomber knew they were going to a suicide bomber? Perhaps it was Mossad/CIA/similar, recruit someone and not tell them of their future, just someone to blame.

Islam means submission, which is a derivative of the word peace. Prior to recent history, if you asked a Muslim what Islam means they would reply submission to Allah (or the will of Allah). I'm not at all saying submission to the will of God is a bad thing, that is what all religions do, they just have a few difference on how to express that submission. It appears there is more than one person with an agenda, so it is exclusively Christians and Jews that are terrorists, that's not biased at all huh.

Yes, the Muslims I know are peaceful people, so are the Christians, Jews and atheists. That does not mean that there have not been Muslims, Christians, Jews, or atheists that have engaged in acts of terrorism or violence or any behavior deemed other than peaceful. To assume that because a person identifies themselves with a particular religion they are incapable of committing atrocities, is just as narrow minded as believing that because they belong to a particular faith they are guilty of the same crimes. People are people there are good and there bad and what religion they happen to belong to makes no difference.

Combatants are described in the 3rd and 4th Geneva Conventions, it can include individuals it does not automatically refer to a standing army. Actually when the media refers to combatants it seldom refers to a standing army, members of an official government army are typically referred to as troops.

The Palestinian struggle is far more complex than the Russia situation, and I'm not getting into that here there are hundreds of threads on that subject and I'm not getting into here. You can scroll through my posts and find some of the more recent ones and debate that issue there.

If not taking responsibility for a bombing fits the modus operandi of Chechnyan groups, it would point in their direction.

It would not strictly rule out any other scenario, but would make them Prime suspect. Further evidence from the scene (forensic, audio, video, etc) would narrow the focus.

Feel bad for the Caucus region, Russians laid down some serious lead last time, if I remeber correctly.
