A bomb explosion has rocked the Philippines' capital Manila, killing at least two people and injuring 15 others, police say.
"Initially, we have two confirmed deaths and 15 others are injured and are being attended to in hospitals," Nicanor Bartolome, head of the Metropolitan Manila district police office, said on Tuesday, the state-fund BBC reported.
Police said the bomb, planted on a bus, went off on a highway in Makati district.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
In October, a similar explosion claimed the lives of at least nine passengers in the southern island of Mindanao, where separatist rebels are active.
Earlier on Sunday, five police officers were killed and two others injured in a daylight ambush set by rebels in the Philippines' northern province of Cagayan.
