Not a fan of the new ATS color scheme

Perhaps I am misunderstanding things, but are you saying that page views have gone up with the change, which was made today?

give me back the old "recent posts" scheme.

So did I, and I remember posting a grumble when it disappeared.
I had got used to following the colour-coded forum names when navigating the page.
In those days, this was combined with icons by the side, wasn't it?
So perhaps as a compromise the newer version of the icons could be restored for those who like them, while the coloured forum names are also kept.

Good change, whatever the reason. Those icons were obnoxious.

I disagree, I used them to jump to some of my more favorite topics, or the ones I was interested in more than anything else. Now, It's more difficult to find, straight away, what I personally want to see.

I'm just used to seeing the image icons and I found it really helpful in finding what I wanted, quickly. I'd really love to see them back..

Yeah, I never really used them. I kinda browse the site in a very lazy fashion -- I'm a "Recent Posts" only kind of guy.

Sorry things are harder for you to navigate now.

Yeah, I use recent posts a lot as well - That's where I learnt to use the images to find what I wanted to see quickly.

I only post in certain topics, and I enjoyed a system where I was able to find all threads from said topics using the image icons to see them quickly in the recent posts page. Also, I've been finding It difficult to come back to a topic I have been posting in using the recent posts page tbh as well now lately. I'm having to look twice for a topic or I've missed it completely upon scrolling down the page because I'm used to the older system or seeing an image.

Anyway, I guess I'll get used to the new changes like I did to the old, and I guess this will "force" me to look at a broader range of topics but I just really prefer the old system right now. I personally feel It was overall better.

I use MyATS to keep up to the threads I've been posting in. Click MyATS in the top menu, and you'll see your "conversations" (or whatever they call it) on the top right side.

Very useful.

Thanks, but don't worry, I know It's there.

Admittedly, I've only rarely used It and I may use it more, but I'm just bringing up my point about the system I really enjoyed - The system which is seemingly gone.

The planet is dying, huge numbers of people and animals are suffering, and you are concerned with the colour scheme of a website.

Please quote in any of my posts above where I said I'm personally not concerned with any of the issues you just raised. You see, I do care about them but, In this instance, I just happen to be raising but a small issue on a system I felt was better than it is now and a small issue which is related to the topic at hand.

EDIT TO ADD: This IS the thread to bring up such issues related to the new color schemes is it not?

Cosmetically, I kind of like the way it was before. The icon pics over the color bars...

But I am picky about ATS. I suspect we all are in one way or another... For me it could just be a matter of getting used to it...

I do have a feeling that it will grow on me just as every other change does....

I always was a fan of the wierd little picture icons that represented each forum.

This new look is a bit Easter flavored for my taste, but not a deal breaker by any means. Overall not bad.

Not complaining....just throwing in my $0.02

Some strange things have happened to my posts wherever I post. It makes me wonder...

And I don't mind what colour anything is.

Don't like it one bit.. at first I thought it was just my browser stalling. I want the icons back.

How does it make it more difficult to look at? I think it helps a lot to sort out the threads and forums. Maybe have the color bars and icons together or blend them together?

It's easier on eyes to sort the threads.

The colors on ATS have already been established on various forums. For example, I like UFOs and Paranormal forums. I can quickly recognize those forums from the list (perhaps more so with icons combined) but I want to read other forums as well.

I think it's a good idea but I understand others' complaints.

It helps me to see my favorites forums but I want to read other forums as well.

I'll get used to it, I'm not here to look at little icons anyway.

Having said that, lose the pink!

Needs to be a few shades darker I think.

I haven't been on ATS much in the last few days until this morning. I agree the new colors are distracting. I liked the old way. I keep seeing pink eveywhere. It's too much clutter.
