Jack lalanne dies - 96 -
Fitness guru Jack LaLanne, who inspired television viewers to trim down and pump iron decades before exercise became a national obsession, has died at age 96.

Hersh says Lalanne ate healthy and exercised every day of his life up until the end.

RIP - He was the best!

Have a glass of juice with Jesus for me!

This is the end of an era. He helped so many people.

We would all be so lucky to have lived such a long life, helping so many other people!

I'm sure his wife is hurting right now so please keep her in your prayers!

P90X and all the rest of them are standing on his shoulders. Her started, heck created, the entire fitness movement!

Well now this is sad news indeed. I'm going to go to the corner store and get myself a corona and lime. Make a toast to the long and fruitful life this man had. this really sucks.

There is a bright point for me however morbid it may seem. I have two 25lb Jack la lane dumbells. I've been saving
e-bay auction.

Rip Jack you definetly showed people how long life can be. Good job Buddy!

For a long time, I only knew of Jack Lalanne for his ads in the back of Boys Life magazine.

It wasnt until years later, when I was working overnights and ESPN classic aired his old shows at like 5 am did I truly experience what he had to offer. I wouldnt say he is an American icon, but an iconic figure in the sports world, even if it was a generation past.

RIP Jack.

He made fitness popular before fitness was popular and he always looked good doing it. R.I.P Jack. Fair winds.

I grew up as a little boy exercising with Jack LaLane in the 50's. He was always an inspiration and will be sorely missed.

Me, too. He was the first person who impressed me about taking care of our bodies. I actually couldn't believe he was still alive. He will be missed.

RIP Mr. LaLanne. May the freshly-squeezed juice flow freely, wherever you are...

...my grandmother used to exercise with jack... that was funny enough but when she laid down on the floor and did the leg lifts, my sister and i were crippled with laughter cuz gram was a large woman and she wore a dress with those knee high heavy hose and funky houseshoes... good times... now i get the payback from my grandkids... getting old is cruel sometimes but it beats the alternative...
