The Convair F-102 Delta Dagger was very much in production. There was no F-103 per se'.

It's easy, crack the crypto on their comms channels and ask them over for pizza. No shooting required.

Yeh,I have really been wondering about it.People I've spoken to thought it was a joke but knowing the human race someone somewhere must have tried to shoot down a ufo.Thanks for the vid.Been getting some real interesting info.

Perhaps, they've only mastered speedy travel. Perhaps their ships are made of materials that are still destructable to our weapons.

In battle strategies, the agile are often the physically weak and the slow are often the physically strong.
To put this into play, just because they can travel quickly, does not portray that they would be stronger.

I believe aliens if existent, are probably a lot more fragile than we think, their technology included.

I just don't think firing one down is the optimal solution for anything besides causing a war.

i've wondered why some of these people who claim to see aliens, bigfoot, the yeti, the loch ness monster don't just haul out a deer rifle and obtain proof of the existence of these things.

Geez...could bigfoot or a 3 foot-tall alien live to escape with a 220 grain .30/06 slug in their thoracic cavity?

Yes, it's an assumption, but I still think it's a sound one. We are not just talking about a minor improvement in like aviation. I consider interstelar travels a major breakthorugh, because it involves more than just being "speedy": material science (so the crafts can withstand acceleration, radiation,...), energy, propulsion, computational, even biology (depending how ET bodies are naturally adapted to space travels), etc...

So even if they were 100% pacifists, I'd still assume they have technology to defend against us, given all they had to go through to be here.

ln a Project Camelot interview Bob Dean told the story that back in the 60ies pilots were ordered to shoot on UFO's every time they had an encounter. But the problem was that miraculously the electricity of the plane went out and the pilots had no choice but to take the jump seat. He said they lost many planes this way so they decided not to shoot on them anymore.

Here's the first documented (publicly verifiable) attempt we made at taking a UFO down...

What sort of silly thread is this? We have been trying to shoot down UFOs for decades. The incident of Battle of Los Angles, where we shot hundreds of anti aircraft shells to no effect... Launching of pursuit jets and even reports of firing guns on them.

I even recall there being some sort of secret weapon that disables the engines of UFO causing them to crash.
